The CP band is doing a tour of the US in 2008, and I'm excited and hoping they come near me.
How is their version of Pictures?

Well, needless to say, I'll be going to see the Carl Palmer Band on their next tour.

I met Carl during the Asia tour last year. He and Geoff Downes were signing autographs after the concert. Carl was incredibly nice and seemed very interested what I had to say in the ten seconds I talked to him. He commented on my age (I was 18 at the time) and we laughed about how my dad "forced" me to listen to Asia. It suprised me how nice he was. I didnt really expect a world class musician to be that nice and down to earth, but from what I've heard, Carl is like that, just a really nice guy.

Hi Every one
first post on the site - i'm so jassed to see so many like minded peeps in here.
anyways; with all the hoohah regarding 'will YES tour or won't they" and with Emo playing with Chris Squier at the Led Zep gig this year , I am thinking the timing is perfect for Chris and Emo to get together formaly , either with Alan White or better yet Carl Palmer and put something together.
Imagine Emerson Squire and Palmer - ESP.
in Emo's book he says he asked Chris at the same time as asking Greg...
come on guys make ESP happen!
good to meet y'all
Graham

I heard Jimmy Page broke his finger, so they delayed the gig until December, so with that, Rick Wakeman cant play with them because he had a prior engagement he has to be at. But still, Keith Emerson, Chris Squire and Carl Palmer would be great, but not as great as a ELP reunion. A mutual reunion, as Keith and Greg have some issues.

I still think an ELP reunion would be better, but I doubt that will happen.

I think GL took great huffness at some of the things that saw the light of day in Emo's book. but you know, "live by the sword die by the sword" and all that.
any way cos of that , i just don't see E&P back with an L any time soon.
well ,unless its lumbago!
:O)

I'm pleased to see Honky receiving positive reviews.A bit of a move away from the bombastic sound of ELP to a more relaxed approach from Keith.

I have listened to hundreds of prog groups, but ELP probably still remain my favourite.. I don't think i ll ever have the chance to see ELP or Keith Emerson live, especially here in Greece... Nevertheless,i am glad there are so many rare bootlegs of this band available(like the manticore one or the PAAE).I ve just finished Emo's biography,a really interesting piece ,which i recomend...
