My favorite band, VdGG, has a lot of punkish elements in their music. I don't want to stir any trouble. I know a lot of people agree with me on the forums.

RIP in bossa nova heaven.

What's wrong with punk? I mean, the good, innovative kind. What's wrong with country? It influenced rock and knowing country licks is important for any rock/jazz guitar player.

oh don't get your panties in a wad LOLWink....  I was never the loser type so I never got into punk so I really haven't heard much.  However I've lived the beer drinking, ass kicking, spending the  night in jail life style of country music.. the real stuff that is...  and that music is great stuff.  Today's country music ranks right with Prog Metal. in terms of style over  substance and rote formalization  over any real evolving or change in the music.LOLWink

Aw, generalizations , the great debate tool. I reminds me of a remark about certain atheists - they don't believe in God, and they can be very specific about the God that they don't believe inTongue
Of course, another quote - "It's easy to be brilliant if you are not bothered about being right".Big%20smile
