The original of the above, predating LZ3 be a number of years, also had a rotating wheel
The original of the above (here, a version sadly mucked about with too much) found in the gatefold LP sleeve of Be Good To Yourself was special.

I just find it funny that two different immediately identifiable Storm
Thorgerson covers are considered some of his werdrer ones. I think it's
obviously Storm, and neither one is particularly strange if you
consider his oeuvre.

most early Amon Düül 2 covers are pretty weird. my favorite one is of
the British Amon Düül though, for the album "Hawk Meets Penguin". why
do a hawk and a penguin meet on a nocturnal cemetery. and why are there
mines with burning fuses below the penguin and where the hawk is about
to land? very strange indeed

LOL! Is it true that ELP had to take legal action against a company that used that image in an Ad for some Gay Sex Chat Line?

KRAFTWERK "The Man-Machine (Die Mensch-Maschine)- dont know why, they look like 4 durks, but still...
MUSEO ROSENBACH "Zarathustra"- ???
ROBERT WYATT "Ruth is Stranger Than Richard"- cute little humen-animels...
Dun-"Eros"
and more and more...

Osanna - Palepoli.
I didn't buy it at first because the cover and the inside of the booklet confused the hell out of me.

That's another Weird/Cool one. I wonder why so many think that this is an imitation Giger, when it's in fact the Real Thing. It's even listed on Giger's site. I wonder what that structure in the background is supposed to be? Makes me think of a Launch Pad or a cockpit of a Bomber

^I have a copy of Weasels Ripped My Flesh on vinyl, and it's really
weird indeed, even outright scary if you ask me! Something about the
guy's facial expression and the sheer size and colour of his face, and
the fact that he's saying "RZZZZZ!"...
