I'm seeing them at the arpil first concert!!! WOOOOHOOOO

Filmed for a DVD and a magicaly special night to close their 20th anniversery tour

I can strangle a canary in a tin can and it would be really original, but that wouldn't save it from sounding like utter sh*t.

Oh for f**k's sake! Do ANY of you DT fans have a sense of humour?Confused

I don't really hate them -- I just don't care for much metal, especially the modern stuff, and I like to joke around!Unhappy

(& why quote my post, funny pics and all, just to say "um ok?") Confused

Enjoy them! Glad you all liked their shows! Rock on! They're talented musicians -- very good at what they do! I'd go see them if I could (as I already said)!

Seriously!Stern Smile

Whatever.LOL

Hmmm... a mere nine months and eighty-three posts, but jaded already, hey?Disapprove

Must be a big metal fan -- too much (ie, any) of that nasty, negative stuff makes many folks very serious, bitter and touchy, it seems.Wink

Do they have an "unplugged" one? Wink

Seriously, I would like to see one -- but I wouldn't buy one, as metal is really "not my bag, man" and the ol' music budget is decidedly limited.Ouch

Smile Peace, headbangers! Ying Yang

And 4k posts makes you witty and clever I gather? Is intelligence or worth determined by your post count on this site?  Jaded...no, just amazed at all the DT bitterness here.  Also I'm actually more of a 60's and 70's hard rock fan

PSS: "Sideways" is Old too

No -- hopefully I was (sometimes) that before I came here.Embarrassed

Some sure seem to think so -- see The Velvet Room....Wink

Again, I'm NOT really a DT hater -- they're just a favourite "target" of mine, as so many seem to take them so seriously. I actually kind of LIKED the first song I heard by them ("As I Am.")

Re the "DT bitterness," I think DT are simply the most successful and visible example of a musical form than many old-time prog fans (like myself) just do not consider to be "prog." They do come in for a lot of flak, admittedly, but then prog metal in general does too. That may be regrettable and divisive, but perhaps we ultimately need two separate (but linked) forums (metal and classic/classic inspired prog) here.Ermm

Modern metal (and a vocal cynical, less-than-articulate or sensitive minority of its younger fans) tend to irritate me -- but much less than rapDead does!

Sorry if my (attempted) humour and teasing offended you, or others!Unhappy

(I do that, from time to time -- offend and apologize....)Embarrassed

Peace -- as someone since departed used to say!

Hug
