Compare the genius of Durarara to that joke of a kid's cartoon (again) and you will pay.

Thanks everyone. I am certainly open-minded. I have even attempted to 'get into' country and rap music, although they almost entirely seem to offer little if any redeeming value. I think they closest thing to country I like would be some of Steve Howe's guitar pieces.
And I think it is almost a talent some of the 'rhymes' certain rappers think up... especially when they attempt to do so with words that don't rhyme at all. I often wonder what goes through a rapper's head as they construct their usually ridiculous lyrics. What do early drafts of rap lyrics look like? I shudder to think.
But anyway, yeah I'm open-minded. |
Folk is better than country anyway. But definitely check out Zeuhl and RIO/Avant if you haven't, many treasures await.

You're one to talk, forcing the most inaccessible recommendations possible to newbies. Although to be fair, it worked with me.

Welcome to the site! Since you're open-minded, I suggest checking out some stuff from RIO/Avant - definitely worth a listen (and I swear I'm not saying it just because I'm on the genre team) and it can definitely require an open mind sometimes, but at least for me it's some of the most rewarding listening there is.

Don't listen to him, he's just saying that because he's on the genre team.

Well aren't you on the genre team because it's definitely worth a listen?
