News flash:

Fans of Picchio Dal Pozzo should be pleased, as their bands self titled ablum has risen to the 400 position in the top 500 chart.

Truly a day to remeber and celebrate.

It's funny. people talk about how Genesis fans rate Genesis a lot of times to take them to N° 1, but SEBTP os always on N° 2 and nobody says a thing, but as soon as CTTE falls to N° 4, a whole army of people come from everywhere to vote over and over for them until they are back in N° 1

Honestly I'm more happy with CttE than with SEBTP, but not in this way.

How can you say DSOTM is full of filler? The only thing remotely filler-ish I can think of is perhaps On the Run, but that isn't bad, and it serves a purpose (break up Breathe/Time and add to the atmosphere).

It was my introduction to prog I'm not saying it's a bad album, it's just weaker than most of thair other albums, it's poppy and pretty unmemorable IMO:

BTW, my previous fanboyish posts were a joke, sorry if it sounded too serious - some people fell for it I see

OK here I go:

  • Foxtrot
  • CTTE
  • Hybris (Soorry but IMVHO SEBTP doesn't belong in the top 5)
  • TAAB
  • DSOTM

Iván

Come on Snowy and Drew, DSOTM is poppy and full of filler

Maja, The rumors are true - CTT(F)E is about to join the 400-500 position club (as I posted above. These rumors are more substantiated than the ones about the Genesis reunion).

Mine are strangely located amidst the forgotten midland of the top 500 chart. A vast area filled with unknown bands and mediocre albums. It is a harsh place, not recommended to the weak of hearts.

I just disregard the top 100 list.

As I said in a previous thread, any list of progressive rock that has Riverside
listed above ANY Van Der Graaf Generator or Gentle Giant album and has
only ONE kansas album at number 97, is not that requitable of a list.

It's hard to make a list that reflects the users reviews and is highly accurate.
I give them props for putting the list together as it is what it is and nothing
more. Take the list for what it is, not for what it isn't.
One likes to believe
In the freedom of music
But glittering prizes
And endless Compromises
Shatter the illusion
Of integrity
