I like it because of the way it leads into Squonk, its extreme opposite musically. It was a clever pairing that added to the depth of the album.

Back to the song - haunting, ethereal, the synth solo/mellotron towards the end - perfect concoction!

it depends on the turnip. When the turnip is really good, the potatoe knows its place, and must simply step aside

Regardless of whether the thread was there before or not... Entangled is a typical example for qualities in music that are very subjective and hard to describe. There's a certain irrational magic in this that some people get and some people don't. It just has to do with the "wavelength" on which people are operating. I get it, great song for me, but I'm at a loss explaining what exactly it is I like about it. And I don't want to say anything negative about the people who don't get it... often enough what some other people find magical fails me.

Yep.....and I did read your post citing the link and the exact same wording..... very odd , so it must be the same poster or he just lifted the OP. At any rate I have never found the song particularly interesting at all .

I find it a very nice song... but not nearly my very favourite Genesis songs. Still, I do like it better than the songs you mentioned, but that is mostly because I don't like those ones so much. From the same era, I like much better, and find more special, "One for the Vine".
