Assaf, I have to get out every now and again . Also I don't know if you have read the Eider Stellaire thread but some great information in there.

I will have to try and get my hands on the DVD sometime, planing on going to Japan sometime next year so this could be one of the many things I pick up.

I adore the Lacrymosa album I have and this is why I am so interested. I have heard Golden Avant-garde sited as Jazz fusion with zeuhl leanings. I know honganji (another member here) should know the answer to this question. So hopefully we have some luck.

By the way Yukorin you should come joins us down in the RIO thread every now and again, some interesting talk going on in there!

A nice little set they have done their! As I said before in your review of the concert I would die to go to a concert like that.

Well while I am heard I though I might ask this question, I asked it in another thread, so hear it goes.

I'm hoping somebody here is going to be able help me with this question I was wonder whether anybody knew if the band "Golden Avant-garde" are worth the listen. This is another project of Lacrymosa's Chihiro S. Since I like Lacrymosa I was thinking this could be something close to my tastes?

Ok, back ! With beer ♥

Hate posting drunk 'cos I always regret it in the mornin' (or, let's be honest, late afternoon)

But can't post in the mornin' cos of the hangover.

Listening to a bootleg (possibly Reims 1976) of Kohntarkosz right now. The sound quality is brutal. Sounds as if it was recorded in Klaus Blaszquiz's Y-fronts. The guitar has now completely dropped out the picture to be replaced by the sound of, quite possibly, pocket billiards. The intro was some geezer (Farmer Vander ?) mumblin' on in inaudiable french for 90 seconds until the Klauster fires off his blood-curdling Hamatai! Is this the same as the 7th records release ? ! Best version I've heard yet ! An' that takes some doin' to surpass the greatest piece of music ever recorded. Human League included.

Oliver !

"humid girls" means hot and sweaty ?

I'm off to get some more beers an' maybe find some humid femmes

It's 10pm now and the weathergirl (who is more than a little humid herself....) has assured me it is 37.5C outside

Unfortunately the weathergirl has just left my apartment so I can't get confirmation. Will venture out myself

Well if you are interested in hearing some more don't be scared to PM me anytime

I'm starting to see through these little stories how shealtered my little westernised country is from all these wonderful articfacts. Though I am happy at the moment there seems to be a bit of a boom for Avant-garde music in general over here is Australia. Also I was looking through that Ultima Thule stock list and notice they have some material off the Pyramid label which I got rather excited about

Hi B V !

Only got a few tracks I downloaded but I did hear some more at my local store Disc Union and, if I wasn't such a tightwad, probably would have bought it on 1st listen. Forget the album name, however.

Incidentally Disc Union (a big record chain in Tokyo selling new and used) has its' own specialist progressive rock branch. Has so many limited editions and bizarre freebies like Ash Ra Tempel shot glasses ! They have a habit of offering complete recorded collections of bands catalogues in deluxe packagings. The recent Genesis and Magma box-sets were simply beautiful ! Of course we're looking at 300 dollars a pop.

Which reminds me ! In Tokyo Tower (a carbon copy of Le Tour Eiffel which was seemingly dropped randomly in downtown Tokyo) there is a waxwork musuem featuring, for some inexplainable reason, a waxwork of Manuel Gottering ! amongst several others...

Have you got the whole album I have talked about? There is some very solid material on this album, which I was very surprised about, the noise aspect of their music may turn a lot of people of but I think it is great as well. I will see if I can dig up some information on this band for everyone here.

They are a little more prolific than I though... having some 15 or so albums.

Here is there homepage for those interested.
