I don't know, the punk feel of Di'Anno and the air siren Dickinson are quite different.

Musically, I find the Di'Anno period more groundbreaking and ferocious. The 80's Dickinson years are also quite creative and interesting, but some tracks can be a bit soapy...

I don't get it, what do I have to do? Express my opinion on the Di Anno period like the thread title says or answer your last question (who is your choice?) Confused

Let's give this another go..........
Original IRON MAIDEN vocalist, Paul Di'anno, has been through the wringer several times since his hey-day with Maiden.
He is now wheel-chair bound, has been jailed for fraudulent activities, hard-drug abuse recovery and many personal battles......... and he's still adored by millions around the world..........
........yes, he is a great vocalist (with 'Punk' attitude......) but does he deserve the hate/love he receives..?????
I dig the guy and his achievements, but he has been touring on his 'Maiden legacy' for decades now.
I dearly love what he did with Maiden, and now I see him in a chair and tattooed up and being a pretentious 'hardcore' dude, I am somewhat disappointed .......
I know there's not many Maiden fans on this board, but, I love those early Maiden recordings and I am shocked and disappointed with way sh*t turned out for Paul.
Dickinson flies 747's - Di'anno is in a wheelchair, Bayley has had his share of sh*t over the years. All AMAZING vocalists for a phenomenal super-star 'Progressive Metal' band.   I do believe they belong in Prog-Metal whatever.....
My choice albums happen to be Killers, The X Factor and Powerslave, without even thinking of the singer (which, at the end of the day, makes the album 'work'......)
Who is your choice - with no bias (Bruce is immensely talented beyond belief ......)...........true Maiden afficianadoes will reveal all...........::...
