I would just take the Reunion live album and be happy with that one.

The second: Tomorrow's Dream and much of Sabotage being on top.

"Over To You" is my fav. Sabbath song ! And those albums have been very well praised on Youtube so it's unlikely you'll be the only late 70's fan even here.
I'm waiting for a charismatic PA loudmouth to advocate for those albums (along with many other great albums) for sure !!

I went for option 1, but my fave BS track is arguably Sabbath Bloody Sabbath. I am playing in a Black Sabbath tribute band at the end of May, so i'm really looking forward to playing some fine tunes from these albums.

BS=3 + Paranoid=4 + MoR=4 = 11
Vol4=3 + SBS=4 + Sabotage=4 = 11

I can't decide as both groupings hold different emotions and memories for me and love them all, I will not vote and leave it tied at 29.

The first 4 are the only ones I own .....oh, I have the newest one also; a gift from  my older daughter.
I bought the first album when it came out and of course Paranoid (didn't buy Master and 4 until many years later..) but it seemed that over the years I no longer had much interest in their brand of heavy rock.
One does nothing yet nothing is left undone.

Vol 4, SBS & Sabotage are my three favorite Sabbath albums hands down.  The first 6 Sabbath albums are all excellent and worth owning, but the three I voted for are my absolute favorites.

In my life I listened many times to these nice tracks: The Thrill Of It All, The Straightener (Studio Version), Under The Sun Every Day Comes and Goes, Snowblind, as well others I can't remeber now. There is a song which doesn't have much of the genre but is quite inrteresting: Laguna Sunrise. Fluff has somewhat an alike atmosphere.

I'm still getting to know the band, but for what I've heard, I could have almost all I would enjoy most of them with the live albums "Live Evil" and "Reunion". The best songs, and mostly with better, heavier, more energetic versions... and in the case of "Live Evil", with a much better singer.

The first album, Paranoid and Master of Reality.
When he rides, my fears subside.
For darkness turns once more to light.
Through the skies, his white horse flies.
To find a land beyond the night.

Not an easy choice, but not too terribly hard, either: in going with the condition specific to this poll, I opt for Vol. 4/SBS/Sabotage. The latter two arguably represent the zenith of Ozz-era Sabbath.

I thought the best way of understanding the two eras was BS to Vol4 (with my favourite Wheels of Confusion) and the next four. Which are very interesting indeed.

No idea which to vote.
