That Love Beach is a beautiful cover... you guys are just jealous again...!!
That cover has some character.. unlike:
3fates we defenetily have not the same taste for record covers.Starless and bible black is one of my favourite. I love Tom Phillips. One of the artists who integrated in a very nice way music, paintings and words.Check out the other stuff he did.

[QUOTE=gleam]
The U.S. version of PFM's "live in USA" which was titled "cook", featuring a caricature of a devil in a boiling pot. Pretty bad...
[/QUOTE
Its the British version that is called Cook actually.
bad Cover......H to He Who am the only one -Van der Graaf

Love Beach is terrible, but more than bad it's the cheesiest cover that I ever imagined for a progressive band, but here are some of myt favorite bad covers:
In this one the idea was not so bad, but the picture is simply terrible:
- The proportion is incredibly bad, the blade of the sword has to be 4 or 5 times the length of the cross (Tha hand), but in thois photo it is at the most as long as the cross.
- If you have the vynil you can see that in the picture the anvil has a slot twice as wide as the sword
- In the upper right corner there is a wax seal that the British Kings didn't used before Edward the Confesor (1043-1066), and King Arthur was supposed to live in the V or VI Century.
Careless work.
Just horrible.
???
Cheesy.

love beach isn't bad... but it still puzzles me why on the COVER of love beach there is no SAND! i know there is on other pics tho. Its not terrible, its just so embaressing. it sums up a band being controlled by a record company, the end of ELP, a poor album, the descent of prog giants, a prelude to the 80s and a sell out pop image ALL IN ONE. maybe in that way it is clever that it represents so much... just f**king embaressing to look out and say, this is an ELP album, this is a prog album. Embaressing for the band too (tho i bet threefates has been drooling since 1978 or whenever it was released)! |
