Yes? Let's see:
1 mile to school, one mile back=2 miles, x 5 days = 10 miles.
Walking around your house (to the bathroom, to the kitchen, to the living room, to the garage, to the bedroom): 0.5 miles a day altogether, x 7= 3.5 miles
We have 13.5 miles now. We are missing 2.5
Of course, at least once a week you have to go do something else, like ... I don't know. Looking at you post rating, when you're not at home probably you go to an internet place or cybercafe to keep on posting, but let's count any of those expeditions.... And as you mentioned a couple of movies in another thread, maybe you go either to the movies or to rent...let's add 2 miles for that....
15.5 miles
0.5 extra miles that you sleepwalk towards the computer until someone wakes you up, and there we have your "16 miles"...

Quality -- not quantity. |
I just remembered what my English teacher wrote on one of my "essays" (one page but it had good points) - "Ben we want quality and quantity" And no, I did not make that up. It was actually written on my paper in that official red ink.

Congrats Ben, a true accomplishment.
You'll never pass me though, I love my post count so much I will never let you. I will kill James too so he stops posting and I can be first again.

I don't think he needs a subscription... just a couple of pages would be proficient for him.

I suggest we all in PA make a collect or something and try to buy the following things for Mr. Ben-Prog:
- A one year suscription to a porn magazine
- A one year gold membership to a Golf Club With the Elderly in South Florida
- A backstage pass for the next Christina Aguilera Concert
- A gift-certificate for the Home Depot worth 500 in tools and hardware
- A bag full of lettuces, potatoes, rice, tomatoes, and all the ingredients of a good meal.
- A one year suscription to Dr. Phil's counseling services.
- An interview by Oprah or someone like that.
- The TUITION FEE for a BETTER SCHOOL WHERE THEY ACTUALLY MAKE HIM DO SOMETHING INSTEAD OF LEAVING HIM WITH SO MUCH FREE TIME...

Wow, Peter really is down wit' the kids by saying "uber". I'm 1/4 aged, does that count for anything?

^ Thanks for the humour, Jim.
This "issue" is not the end of the world as we know it, I realize, and I can't expect a bunch of young fellows born and raised in the internet age to act like middle-aged men.
So please don't take my words too much to heart, young uber-posters. I think I've touched upon a serious issue for forums, but a high post count is certainly not an indication of a "bad" person (or, necessarily, one lacking a "real" life, and other interests).
Be young while you're young, I guess!

You do realise, that the more you post, the longer you'll live?
It's been proven too.
Obviously you won't live to 10,000, but it's done on ratios.

Ah, but Peter - the more you debate the pros and cons of building up post counts for their own sake, your own count rises!
Which at our age is always a bonus, I suppose
