Overrated Bands (Opininonated!)

You see, Greg, this thread is a misnomer... Most of the people are not listing actually 'overrated' bands (as if something like that could be measured), but just bands or artists they don't like. Personally, I would have closed this thread long ago, since I don't think that band-bashing is an asset to the site, but then,  what do I know?

Someone said that mars volta is the new led zeppelin, isnt that overrating them??? No, saying The Mars Volta is the new Led Zeppelin, is not overrating them. If the one who says that, and thinks so, make it be so. Just because you think Led Zeppelin are better than The Mars Volta, doesn't mean someone saying otherwise, is wrong/overrated.     Ok, i think that zeppelin is maybe the best band ever and i think very many people share my feelings, millions of people i think. To say that mars volta is as good as zeppelin is really overrating them, and not really fare either cause the music mars volta produces is far more difficult and not as broad as zeppelin, maybe?    to be overrated isnt that when people say that u are better than u really are?     ahh everything is bullsh*te really, mars volta is really good!

Yes, the bolded is true, but do you know what is "better" music? I mean, the words 'better' and 'worse' in art in general, are quite useless, and meaningless, IMHO, in the context of some discussion saying which band is better than the other.

Anyways, the first paragraph you wrote, is for another discussion. You are saying millions of persons love(no, not think they're the best band ever) Led Zeppelin, while The Mars Volta has less fans, and these fans say The Mars Volta are "the new Led", which you say this means overrated It does not, are those million of people right on thinking Led is the best band ever, and The Mars Volta fans wrong on saying they're the new Led? Huh?
