I like Under Wraps a lot. Not bad at all.

A is my favourite and better than Broadsword. More vibrant.

Crest of a Knave is an underatted album IMO. Okay it does have an 80's sound but it also contains the excellent Farm on the Freeway.

A is an album of two sides. Or at least it was when albums had sides. Side A is great. After Black Sunday it's a very patchy affair and the only other track I like is And Further On. Broadside is my second favourite Tull album after Songs from the Wood and is highly recommended.

For those who like Broadsword, don't forget they recorded enough material for a double album in those sessions. The outtakes appeared on the box set 20 Years of JT, and they are every bit as good as what wound up on Broadsword I think. They have also been showing up on classic album remixes and so forth.

Concerning Under Wraps - I like it a lot. "Later That Same Evening" is cool because it covers an entire techno thriller novel in three verses. "Nobody's Car" is a real rocker that captures typical 60's spy movie themes, but in a very complex way that vaguely reminds me of Gentle Giant. And the acoustic version of the song "Under Wraps" is just beautiful. The plugged in version is great too.

Yes, I do like Under Wraps. It's still the second worst Tull album ever though. Catfish Rising is my least favorite Tull album, but I like it too - some of it anyway.

You got it, governor! Techno spy thriller is spot on. The mood is cold warish (twas the times) and one of the better "new wave" albums of the time. Yes, Yes we know that it was far from the classic folksey Jethro but on ITS OWN MERITS, I enjoyed this album then as much as I do know . So "Stand up and fight coz you know we are right"

I never post anything anywhere without doing more than basic research, often in depth.
