From this list i will pick Santana for his incredible feeling for melody, flow and feeling. Ever since i started listening to blues some 20 years ago i have always admired gifted guitarists who have a gift to compose real melody. Santana has it all, he has been jack of all trades, be it latin, world music, fusion jazz or just good 'ol rock and roll. I really love this guy and his music. Carlos for me! Tongue

Zappa followed by Santana and then Caravan.

I voted for Caravan.   I saw them a few years ago at a small run down bar in St. Louis called Pops.   Performed in front of only like 900+ people.   Sat 15 feet away from the stage.    They blew me away.    Performed "Nine feet underground" flawlessly as well as tracks from "Plump in the Night" and "For Richard".   Concert was dirt cheap at $25 US.    Worth every penny.   They have not lost anything musically.

Guess who they opened up for?    Nektar  LOL     Nektar then performed their whole "Remember the Future" album amongst other things.

What an incredible show and only $25.   Lasted almost 4 hours.

Caravan!
I've really discovered them thanks to PA and their music perfectly fits my taste.

Get "If I Could...", David. In many ways, it represents Caravan at their best even more than "In the Land...". And then, you should know that it is our personal anti-DT antidote!WinkLOL

(Just joking, Teo....Tongue)

Caravan for me, followed by the mighty Blue Oyster Cult, whose addition to the site's DB I was responsible for. I missed them last year in London (they were playing on the day I left BritainCry), but I heard their Astoria gig was incredible.

"If I Could..." is almost out of reach for me (I mean CD issue) in Poland, unlike their other early records.  It can be bought generally on e-auctions only - by cosmic money.Unhappy

Finch?

Are you reffering to the band that made a splash in the world of bands that 15 year old girls listen to for a week and then forget about entirely market?

Yikes, I'm pathetic. Of all the names in the list, I only know Caravan, Frank Zappa and Santana. I heard of Blue Oyster Cult but got no chance to hear them.  Am I still allowed to cast a vote? I did, anyway.

Caravan -- their debut album rocks.

The are 5 there that are favorites in different situations.  I chose Happy Family since they aren't getting any love.
