Yes, I know - a bizarre poll. All you have to worry about is choosing your own personal favourite and let the rest of the votes decide who's better! LOL

And I'll decide on my favourite later. Have fun, don't take this too seriously! Big%20smile

Tough choice between a few of them, but I have to go with Magma.

Zappa has the most good albums, but both Darwin! and MDK are better albums that Zappa's best.

That was a tough one between Caravan and BOC, but since BOC was getting no love, I chose them.  Arena was a close third.

Frank Zappa.
"Freak Out!" is probably the most experimental album that I have ever heard. Without that album there wouldn't even be Sgt. Pepper. Without Zappa, there wouldn't be prog. But still he hardly gets any credit for that Cry.

I enthusiastically agree with my colleague Finnforest! Pentacle it is, just to be a tad rebellious. "La Cle des Songes" is a prog masterpiece. Gryphon would of been a close second. ClapClap

I originally had the ? there cause I wasn't sure whether or not to add him cause I knew he was too popular and would win, as he just has! LOL

But yeah, something different for kicks. Maybe I should do another "random" one. Tongue

Also, my vote went straight for In The Woods as I'm a metal addict to the bone and I can connect better with this band.

From this list i will pick Santana for his incredible feeling for melody, flow and feeling. Ever since i started listening to blues some 20 years ago i have always admired gifted guitarists who have a gift to compose real melody. Santana has it all, he has been jack of all trades, be it latin, world music, fusion jazz or just good 'ol rock and roll. I really love this guy and his music. Carlos for me! Tongue

I voted for Caravan.   I saw them a few years ago at a small run down bar in St. Louis called Pops.   Performed in front of only like 900+ people.   Sat 15 feet away from the stage.    They blew me away.    Performed "Nine feet underground" flawlessly as well as tracks from "Plump in the Night" and "For Richard".   Concert was dirt cheap at $25 US.    Worth every penny.   They have not lost anything musically.

Guess who they opened up for?    Nektar  LOL     Nektar then performed their whole "Remember the Future" album amongst other things.

What an incredible show and only $25.   Lasted almost 4 hours.

Get "If I Could...", David. In many ways, it represents Caravan at their best even more than "In the Land...". And then, you should know that it is our personal anti-DT antidote!WinkLOL

(Just joking, Teo....Tongue)

Caravan for me, followed by the mighty Blue Oyster Cult, whose addition to the site's DB I was responsible for. I missed them last year in London (they were playing on the day I left BritainCry), but I heard their Astoria gig was incredible.

"If I Could..." is almost out of reach for me (I mean CD issue) in Poland, unlike their other early records.  It can be bought generally on e-auctions only - by cosmic money.Unhappy

Yikes, I'm pathetic. Of all the names in the list, I only know Caravan, Frank Zappa and Santana. I heard of Blue Oyster Cult but got no chance to hear them.  Am I still allowed to cast a vote? I did, anyway.
