Keith Emerson...early 20's...wrote the 'Five Bridges suite'...not only for his band but for an orchestra..gotta admit, witing for the orchestra, he did have help...but he Keith had the idea...and wrote the music, he had the vision lol....i think that was pretty good for his age

Hi Benny

Your wasting your time preaching about Keith in here..

Top & bottom ELP were the successful Prog band or the era, their all all trying to kid themselves as to the point that others were better. No prog band were as rich & succesful as ElP by the mid '70's.

They were the pinnacle of success.

Wow, no mention of Genesis:

At age 18 - 19 they were writting songs about Revolutions (The Knife) and about great authors work (White Mountain based in Jack London's White Fang)...

I think they meant the age of the composition, not the composer. If not, what would FZ be doing here in the poll with his "Peaches in Regalia", or LZ with "Kashmir"?

Don't go for the Karn Evil thing, my friend - now you want to see Genesis anywhere in any poll for any or no reason at all.

Oh, I voted for MAGMA's debut album - a total innovation regarding the introduction of avant-garde chamber and avant-garde jazz into an avant-garde prog rock context.

Regards.

Cesar, I don't understand waht you are talking about age of the composition, at least all the members beforeme understood it was the age of the band members that composed the music.

Quote Oh, well... then the poll was ill-conceived!!

Maybe that's too hard, but at least I believe the choices were not the appropiate, but doesn't matters, it's only another poll as hundreeds we see everyday.

Cheers
