Topic: H to He Vs Islands Posted: May 12 2011 at 16:56 |
I adore both but prefer H to He.
In my poll "4bands,8pairs" the pair of these albums didn't get any vote. That's why I've created this poll - to see what you think about these works.

It's pretty close, but Islands gets the vote.

Islands must be the album name that fits the better with the music. What a wonderful trip of music and atmosphere

I have to say Islands, because it seems much more well composed.

This may be my first time voting for VdGG, but that album is my favorite of theirs. "There's a house with no door" is wow.

They're both one of the weaker albums of both bands, but H to He.

I must admit i'm shocked Islands is winning this right now. Two amazing bands but H To He is my fav VDGG album while Islands is far down my list of fav KC albums.

H to He is my favorite VdGG as well, especially with the addition of Squid 1/Squid 2/Octopus.

My thoughts exactly; though I like "Pawn Hearts" more than "H to He," I am also shocked that "Islands" is winning. I assumed that "Islands" was the ugly duckling of the KC catalog, but clearly there are a large number of people who enjoy it. I suppose I'll have to give it another listen to see what I'm missing.

I go with Islands on this one though I love VDGG:) Islands is one of those unique Crimson records that doesn't sound like any of the others. I love the classical/rock blend of some of the songs:)

I've taken quite a liking to Islands lately.
But, I still like H to He... more.

Islands features Robert Fripp.
H To He features Robert Fripp and Peter Hammill.
Pretty obvious who wins here.

Islands is unique, excellent, unrepeatable matter.
He To He is one of Van Der Graaf similar albums only.
