One of Yes's crowning achievements. A masterpiece of prog and a masterpiece of rock music, period.

Their best album.

Like most pre 'Going for the one' Yes albums, this takes several spins to get into, but certainly not as many as TFTO or Relayer.

Ultimately bored by endless ecstasy!

This song is OK in my opinion, but it is not as good as, say, The Gates of Delirium!!! Gates has more virtuosity in it that CTTE. I will admit that CTTE is more catchy the first time around than is Gates of Delirium. I don't really dig this record at

Yes is a great band. Fragile is much better than CTTE, as is relayer. CTTE is good but a bit overrared.

'Close to the edge', is a GREAT album, definately among the best three of the group.

My personal best, is of course 'Fragile', but of course, to each their own.

Fragile will always be my favourite for sentimental reasons mainly - it was my first Yes album I bought (1975 I believe) I did not really hear CTTE until many years later. While I like CTTE heaps, Fragile is a

I tried to write a review for CTTE, but words can't describe this album, absolutely brilliant.

I'll try again tomorrow, maybe I'll stop at 15 words

If 100 stars could be given it still wouldn't do justice to this album.

One of the crowning achievements of progressive rock.  A Masterpiece and a 10 out of 10.  Unfortunately, it doesn't get as much play as it used to since I have started exploring the more obscure side of prog.

Close to the Edge is actually a solid 3-star recording, nothing more.
As a piece of music it's hugely over-rated. Fragile is lots better!
