Fripp v. Collins in the Thunderdome... two enter.. one exits... I like it.

noooo! the members fight .. one from each camp - from each country. I'll represent Genesis from Canada. (and i'll warn the rest now - I had a really bad year last year - need to burn off some aggression)

ummm... kinky... I like it. Perhaps we'll go a couple extra rounds.. and then if still needed (for votes and voters will eventually dry up).. we'll settle it by member to member combat.

Not much of a fighter but I'd gladly take on whomever will be representing Genesis.... hopefully Peter Gabriel.

sorry dude.. you'd be up against Ivan... and I wouldn't put a dime on you or anyone but myself against Ivan and I have no dog in this one. I like King Crimson about as much as Genesis... at least King Crimson did something worthy of the adoration they get

How about a good melee instead, in the true spirit of homo homini lupus est? The last man standing gets to pick the band.

just beware.. you don't want my wife in on this..a huge K.C. fan and she is brutal.. and if you dared lay a hand on her... you'd do the PA's equivalent of bombing Pearl Harbor and getting Big Mick off his isolationist ass and into the war.

I finally went with the Crims, and that is my definite choice right now, but it looks it might not be enough.

I somewhat want Genesis to win. That way, I wouldn't have to choose between King Crimson and Pink Floyd.

The best thing that could ever happen to Genesis is to never have a comeback.
1.- We no longer live in the 70's 2.- People would expect to much from guys who been playing different music for decades 3.- We would have to listen Musical Box after Illegal Alien 4.- The magic will live forever, we will remember them young and in their peak. 5.- We won't have to see a bunch of older guys trying to make what they did 40 years ago.

No old friend.
I'm became wise enough to know that no matter what people say, the music of Genesis won't change.
I leave my fights for the court...There people pay me to fight.

This one is really difficult for me. I really love both bands, and lot's of music by them... but to choose which one I like better or not as much. As far as albums go, King Crimson has some I would rate 5 stars (at the very least the debut, perhaps also Red and Power to Believe), but perhaps Genesis has more songs that I truly adore... not sure, really. Specially since this is so close and my vote could really make a difference...
Well, I guess I go with Genesis, but just barely.

An extended version of Illegal Alien, and a part of Musical Box put in a "oldies-medley"
