Finding out about what new albums are coming, band lineups changing, what new bands are forming etc is something that interests me everyday, hence I'll read about it.

Music's a wonderful passion to have. Hug

I've kinda done the same thing today... I didn't do any homework and I've been really lazy. Time well spent though.

I'm probably too obsessive about music though.
I've found it kinda hard to relate to people in recent times that aren't really into music.
And even when I don't listen to music, I tend to play songs in my head from memory, I'll recite music theory from memory, and all sorts of stuff like that.

I do all of that too.

I've hardly run into anyone that has remotely similar tastes as I do, which doesn't help.

Yeah, I know that feeling.
I have a few friends into the more mainstream prog metal bands, but past that, nope, they have no idea what I'm talking about.

I just know David and then Danny (other person in our band), and that's it. LOL

I've only occasionally had a comment or two on a Yes/Rush shirt, usually from someone who looked alot older.

Heh, yeah.
I went to Dream Theater with 4 other people, that was cool I guess.
I don't really go out of my way to tell people to listen to anything really, if they want to pick up on some of the prog stuff I like, that's cool, but I'll leave it up to them.
Unfortunately other people can't have that attitude and they insist I listen to 'x artist'.

Yeah, I know what you mean there.

Hopefully I'll see Dream Theater on ProgNation this year, along with ZPZ. That'd be right up my alley. David would go with me, but that would probably be it. Maybe his brother too.

I'm really excited about seeing them, so ProgNation would be a good chance.

Perhaps.

I definitely see myself plunging into discovery of them this week.

I've listened to about an hour and a half of Kayo Dot today.
It's too good.

No, before I said I might.

I'm making a promise that I'm listening to them before Sunday.
