Hmm.
Now I'm starting to warm to some sort of split of RIO/Avant.
It could really help. There are an enormous number of bands currently.
Well, I'll hopefully be back on later tonight to discuss more.

Pat, you gave a false address to all of the kids now, didn't you? Of course, Mike was moved with the furniture and he tends to be quite lax in his doorman duties, but maybe we can stall them by having them go to the wrong address first.

This is insanity.
And everyone is asleep!
And I have a joke:
Two Jewish guys are sitting on a park bench reading newspapers. The first guy looks up and notices his buddy is reading a Neo-Nazi newspaper. He asks him "How can you read that trash?". The man replies "When I read the regular news paper all I hear is about how the economy is crashing, people are being beaten and murdered, and that the outlook is bleak. I find it depressing. When I read this news paper I hear about how our people control the banks, run the media, and are taking over the world."

And yes, pashing... Kim has done that two weeks in a row with this dude. She said she's doing it 'cause she feels he wants some fun... what the hell?
She also said it won't go any further than that.
Talk about leading a guy on... he's going to get silly feelings in his head most likely. He's actually a nice guy and a caring one too.

Plus I don't understand most of my mates...
Apparently my mate Nikki had a good night tonight. How?
I didn't.
It was boring. Yes the intimacy with Kim was nice but I'd have preferred it to have been just me and her in the room and with nobody else there.
Apparently I'm the only person she can really talk to about her issues. I guess that makes me feel a bit better but she never actually bothers to contact me.

Plus this other lass named Lou was there... well we met for the first time last week and she seems rather lovely. She texted me asking me where I was when I was at the bar getting a drink. I went upstairs and found her. We had a nice chat but then she decided to go a different club with her mates.
So grrr... but still, I may arrange to meet her sometime soon. I'd like to get to know her better.

Lol, she wouldn't read it. My ex girlfriend is noticeably gaining weight. I saw her 2 weeks ago at a party, her face seems chubbier now, yuk. She is a lazy piece of crap. But I guess I walk 15-25 hours a week, so many people are lazy compared to me in exercise terms At least Selby wont be gaining weight like her now. Sheridan always remains really gorgeous for some reason and unlike my ex has actually gotten better looking over the months.

There were some really annoying t**ts out tonight, it has to be said.
Some guy called Phil was stalking my mate Nichola... he's really weird. He kept texting her asking to chat to her outside and he also kept poking her and touching her. She told him to stop at one point and the next thing is he's followeing her about the club... I went and had a dance to a really terrible song (oh wait, it was Foo Fighters...) and he was stood on the dance floor in what seemed to be a trance just staring down at where Nichola was... then he started texting.
He gives me the willies. I thought he was annoying the first time I met him a few weeks back. Seems I was right about him.

Seriously James, if she doesn't bother to contact you, yet tells you all this 'you're the only guy I can trust' sh*t, than she is at least, 50 per cent full of sh*t ( does that mean she is 'half of sh*t' than?).

She doesn't say that exactly...
She just says that she can talk to me about stuff more easily. I guess recently she's had less stuff on her mind.
But yes, I do understand what you mean. She's very confused and she doesn't even know what she wants. She claims she's bi-sexual and she blatantly isn't. She claims she doesn't like this Simon guy more than just as a friend. She blatantly does. She also claims she doesn't like me in that way... when she quite possibly does.
How about we compromise and say 51% she is?
-------------
|

Ohh dude, I hate it when girls do that bi sexual crap. My friend (well not friend anymore) Jess used to do that, because it was the 'in thing' for girls to do to be cooler or some rubbish like that. And what do you know, now that she lost a whole lot of friends, she doesn't go on about being bi sexual anymore. Who is Simon btw? Not sure if you've mentioned him before.
|
Posted By: VanderGraafKommandöh
Date Posted: January 31 2009 at 00:57
Simon is a new friend of hers. I've known him for ages... I don't consider him a close mate but he's a nice enough guy.
He's also rather large. He plays guitar and sings in a death metal band I think.
Anyhow, they always seem to hold hands and have their arms around each other. They also pash a lot.
They basically act like a couple yet aren't a couple. She also claims she doesn't like him more than as a friend and that she cannot open up (no pun intended) to him. It's weird...
And she doesn't go on about being bi. It just says she's bi on her MySpace. It never gets brought up in conversation.

Indeed.
Yet I also know she doesn't love him.
Ah well, she'll learn from her mistakes... although it could work out, bizarrely.
He's much better than her ex, that's for sure.

Posted By: Petrovsk Mizinski

Yeah, that's true. Well look, she's young still, she's got plenty of time to find someone she feels is properly perfect for her. As much as you would hope she could see it your way, dude, your 28, and she is what, 18/19? She still has those years ahead to full mature and grasp those things. I realize that more and more as I get older, and now that I'm 20, I feel in a way quite a lot different than when I was her age.
|
Posted By: VanderGraafKommandöh
Date Posted: January 31 2009 at 01:12
She's 19. She's 20 on the 31st March.
She's come a little way since I first knew her. She's a better person... sort of. At least she's getting out the house now and that's far better than before. She also now has proper friends too.
It's all thanks to me.
She knows that too and sometimes does mention it.
And yep, ideally I want to move on and find someone else yet it's not that easy.

Well I have to get going, but I'll leave you with this anyway. As much as you gave to her, don't sit there waiting to get back as much as you gave, as hard as that is to do. Because even if she doesn't give back to you now, or to you ever, there is that chance she can still be even better as a person, and a few years down the track, she will realize she owes something and needs to give back, if not necessarily you. And whether you know if she does give back or not, you might never know really, but if she does anyway and you don't know at least there will be someone else in the world that would have been touched with that positivity of her giving back to the world what she owes.

Separate post:
I do not understand this Henry Cow boxset and it's making me mildly perturbed.
The note that came with the boxset said there's a spare case which should be removed from the box and be replaced with my copy of Concerts. Now that's easy enough to understand.
Then there's a separate box for the studio albums. Now this is where it gets confusing.
It says there are 5 studio albums.
No, they only ever made 4.
I presumed it was for the 4 studio albums and Concerts but that is not so.
So am I supposed to put Desperate Straits in or something? Hmm.
I'm well and truly confuddled.

So am I supposed to put Desperate Straits in or something? Hmm.

That is exactly what you are supposed to do.
|
Oh... I don't think I have it on CD.
Are you sure that's what you're supposed to put in there?
|
Yes. It's included in what I ordered yesterday.
Yet Concerts was not, which was mildly annoying, so I'll have to order that separately.
|
Oh right... I may have it on CD... is that Art Bears or Slapp Happy... I always get those two confused with each other.
|
Desperate Straights and In Praise of Learning were the two Slapp Happy/Henry Cow collaborative albums.

Hmmm I have Slapp Happy's debut and Casablanca Moon but I'm not sure I have Desperate Straits...
I shall have to check.

Living in the Heart of the Beast
It's kind of symphonic in places too.

Couldn't find Pat's rec on YouTube, so this is what I'm listening to.

Can't go wrong with that track either.
