It may be shocking, but in a rich country of 300 million people there is a lot of travel to areas where malaria is commonplace. Chloroquine is safe and widely prescribed. Anti-Trump derangement shouldn't get in the way of reality.
What exactly is "anti-trump derangement".

That is a term the Trump cult uses for anyone who disagrees and/or is disgusted/appalled with Herr Twitler.

Cases in the U.S. passed 50,000 yesterday. Today it was well over 60,000. Welcome to the new center of the pandemic.

Anti added because the term is often misunderstood.

My county is doing alright (upstate NY), but man, everything is really dark right now. I've been going out for long drives in the morning just to simulate my normal routine (and get some good music listening in). Its almost creepy seeing a nearly empty highway besides trucks.... and it seems like the sky is always grey! Ah that's just upstate NY.

I don't even know what that is supposed to mean. Like the phrase clearly wasn't even the point of my post. I was referring to something that actually matters.

I had a trip to Saranac lake I had to cancel because of the pandemic. That's beautiful country up there. Hope you're staying safe.

Either way, I give the administration's handling of this crisis as a Z. Not even a F, a Z!

That's the problem when a fanatic is elected, I don't know if he's a Catholic or Evangelic (He dances around the two religions), his previous declarations about rape, race and gay sons were worst.

How could Brazil elect this retarded?

Well, the radical evangelical vote headed by the sect "Pare de Sufrir" (Rejected even by the responsible evangelicals and all the traditional Protestants), that has more than 20 millions of members, supported him. This sect is preparing a paramilitar army called "Altar Gladiators" to fight homosexuals and atheists:

Now we have them in all South America, starting with Argentina, Colombia and Perú

They own radios, TV stations and placed everything in favour of this jerk.

Sounds like fascism to me.

I said something negative about hollywood donald that is actually true, so possibly that doesn't qualify as "anti-trump derangement syndrome". By the definition you linked to, my statement needs to be false to qualify as "deranged".

I wouldn't be so sure of that. Amazon and other companies are still delivering anything you might want to buy. Whether they should be is a question, but they are.

I'm sure you've already got your data backed up, but if not now would be the time. Should be possible to do this in the cloud if you don't have an external hard drive. Or buy one from Amazon.

Good advice for self employed indeed but I work for a firm of accountants off a central server so I just need internet connection and a working computer.

As long as Trump/Fox/Hannity/Brietbart care more about the economy than the virus and people dying, this thread is the result. The Lt. Governor of Texas (A Republican, naturally) said that people should go back to work and risk infection and dying in order to save the economy. And you wonder why this thread has a political bent. Confused

Donald Trump is fair game to be discussed in this thread. He had the whole month of February to put plans in place to contain this before it got out of control. Now the U.S. has more cases than any other country in the world. Sounds to me like he was asleep at the wheel. Now the car is falling off a cliff.

Quite emotional seeing the clapping for the NHS last night.

At least the shopping panic seems to have settled down a bit now, we got in our local Sainsbury's yesterday without queuing. I guess there's only so much you can buy before you run out of space and/or money.

Breaking news - Boris has the virus now, mild symptoms.

For non Brits, the NHS is the National Health Service. Their one and only health care system.
