Actually, China has a hugely successful prog rock band. I have sent them an interview request.

Nail them with force Luke.

I would like to see some South Korean & Iraq / Iran music added.

I'm glad there's an ongoing issue about prog in various countries again.Thumbs Up

Since I started this thread, a few things changed...we have now the represantitives from China and Moldova...

I'm however, surprised we still have any prog bands from some countries...perhaps I have high expectations, but having a prog band from every country from Europe and the Americas shouldn't be an impossible task.

I have expectations for Africa and Asia too.I'm surprised we dont' have any (South) Korean artists yet. As for the middle-eastern countries, if there's one rock/metal band, there will be another. in fact, for many non-developed countries I'm expecting to find some for of pop/rock/metal blend with local folk musics in an unconventional way.

I'm from Singapore and had no idea we had any Progressive music. Everything here is either Supremely Pop oriented or Supremely Punk/Metal subculture oriented.
... Yes, that was Random.

I'm going to bring this thing up again:

Why did the links to "artists by country" listings disappear and isn't it really possible to bring them back?

The desing of this above part has changed so that perhaps it's not possible to have the link appear there (I don't know squat about website programming, perhaps it is possible), but here in the alphabetical listings I'm sure it wouldn't be the slightest problem. At least it would be quite a lot more handy than trying to find one's way to this thread or somehow know the exact url of the country pages and then start guessing the country codes.

Please?

It will be great to see the first prog band come out of AntarcticaSmile

This would almost surely feature Henry Kaiser as he is known to scuba dive there.
