1. SBB - Memento z banalnym tryptykiem
2. Fren - Where Do You Want Ghosts to Reside
3. Lebowski - Galactica
4. Millenium - The Web
5. Retrospective - Latent Avidity
6. Czyszy - Epic May
7. Lizard - W Galerii Czasu
8. Abraxas - Abraxas
9. Immortal Onion - Ocelot of Salvation
10. Lebowski - Cinematic

I ought to explore Polish prog music more. I have ancestors that lived in the southeastern part when it was part of the Austrian province of Galicia prior to WWI.

The ones I highlighted in your list are all excellent.
Nice! Thumbs Up

Interesting, any 70's albums in your list, disregarding SBB?

No, there aren't. I think everything I own is from more recent years and tends to be neo-prog. I certainly need to spend some time exploring 1970s Polish prog.

I wouldn't say so.
Nevertheless a lot of good and great releases come out from Poland. I sometimes pay attention and listen. Tongue

Yes, I really enjoyed those. I still need to buy the Lebowski album. It's on my list.

I'm interested in getting some SBB, what I have heard I have liked. Of course, I like Riverside too (Anno Domini would be my favourite from them), and there's also Georgius, I think they (he) are polish too, and the two albums I have are really wonderful.

I just cheat!! Evil SmileLOL

There are more than one way of achieving this type of effect

- I answer to one post and then I copy it instead of sending/submit it. Then I go back to the thread
Then I quote another post and paste the text of the first than answer the second.
You/I can either copy the whole thing and return to the thread as many times as you/I wish and quote as many posts you like or finally submit the drivel you/I've written. LOL

- You can also submit your first answer and then proceed to a second one, copy it and return to the thread and copy it on your previous answer.

.

let's just stay above the moral melee
prefer the sink to the gutter
keep our sand-castle virtues
content to be a doer
as well as a thinker,

rather than un-sheath our sword

I must say, I'm rather suprised (and a bit disappointed) so far, nobody mentioning neither Korowód nor Cien Wielkiej Góry, and only Sean including Enigmatic in his list, as they are all three highly rated and well known on RYM.
Anyway, I can surely recommend to give them a listen, and I've written some comments about the lyrics of the first two of them, and can write too about the last one, if any interest.

Widek is a good guitarist/project/band, for anyone that likes instrumental djenty-shred type.

I can tell you, Cristi, that I have often problem with Prog Metal vocals, as I don't like them being Pop influenced.

Edit:
Widek is too ambient/atmospheric and "synthetic" for me.

true about the vocals, if I don't like or tolerate the vocals, a lot of times the whole thing is ruined.
What do you mean by "pop influenced"? Can you give an example?

As for Widek, I can understand his music sounding "synthetic", but I like it how he blends atmosphere and heaviness.
