I hope you once will be flooded by the 'duende', the spark between the musicians and the spectators, often accompanied by the 'ole', 'ole' shouts (and I don't mean the awful bullfighting Angry ), very special so I recommend you to visit a flamenco concert, it's becoming more and more popular because genuine flamenco (not the tourist fake flamenco Thumbs Down ) sounds so pure, exciting and straight from the heart Thumbs Up

I'll defintely keep that in mind Erik.. though I may need to relocate to ...less barbaric areas of the world ahhahah...   I don't expect to see many flamenco concerts whirl through the armpit of the prog universe that is the rural American south LOL  Though I could show you a thing or two about some hot bluegrass pickin or sweet  southern blues..  Wink

There is a similarity between the American black blues that is rooted where you live Micky and the flamenco by the Andalusian gypsies, both created by very poor people who used music as a way to express their emotions and frustrations, that's why the black blues and the flamenco sound so emotional CryCry ... Approve !

I used to fashion myself a bit of an expert on the blues.. having spent some years,  before I got the prog bug in earnest in the last couple of years, studying everything I could.  You are so right it is a fascinating and emotional musical form.  I  playing in more than my share of  blues bands for free beer and money to buy a set of strings every once in awhile LOL  It's quite the lifestyle.  A real piece of Americana.  Couldn't agree more about the emotional similarity, probably why I was so drawn to Prog Andaluz when I first took your suggestions... whenever I quench my first for all things RPI..  I plan to move full force into Prog Andaluz with Credit Cards in hand and buy everything in sight as I've been doing with RPI hahahah. Well I'm out for the rest of the day... work beckons.. have to be able to pay for all these damn albums hahahah

Well Micky, I go to the USA where you show me the blues (I play some on acoustic guitar so a jam is a possibility Wink ) and you are welcome in Europe where I show you the flamenco in Andalusia but also in Holland and Belgium, it's very popular in cities like Amsterdam, Utrecht, The Hague (Holland) and Antwerp (Belgium). But I am afraid that this will be a dream because after buying the great Prog Andaluz CD's you wil have run out of money .... Cry ........
