I havn't revealed my hand as yet even though I have voted but I just had to step in here:-
Trespass = Minor Masterpeice, Nursery Cryme = Masterpeice, Foxtrot = Masterpeice, Genesis Live = Masterpeirce, Selling England... = Masterpeice, Lamb.... = Masterpeice, Trick of the Tail = Masterpeice, Wind & Wuthering = Masterpeice, Seconds Out = Masterpeice, And then there were three = Masterpeice, Duke = Masterpeice, Trree Sides Live = Minor Masterpeice .....All downhill from here though!
If we count the Minor Masterpeices as a half I make that 11 Masterpeices and I was very tempted to include the two 'Archive' albums! I'm sorry but the other two bands don't come close. (I guess you know which way I voted now!) :)
Pink Floyd have sold more albums than Genesis purely because of 'DSOTM' and 'Wish You Were Here' having sold bucketloads. Gut that's just because these two albums were possibly Floyd's most accessible and in turn this made it easier for the media to hype them as well (I have always felt tat WYWH was better than DSOTM anyway). Genesis were always an aquired taste, at least up until '....and then there were three' anyway. But I think time has allowed more people to get to grips with their music thus now they have caught up and are leading this poll amongst today's prog rock listeners.
And as for 'Yes'...well they didn't have Tony Banks or Steve Hackett did they?(!)

I think it's important to consider "Animals". Does anyon disagree that it's one of the greatest allbums of all time?

Hearsay!! The Floyd trumps both of them... (Piper, Saucer, More, Ummagumma, Atom Heart Mother, Meddle, Obscured by Clouds, Dark Side of the Moon, Wish You Were Here, Animals, The Wall, The Final Cut, A Momentary Lapse of Reason, The Division Bell) Thats 14!! If Duke is a masterpiece, everything Floyd put out it is masterpiece... even "Nick Mason's" Fictitious Sports!!!  )

and if "Fictitious Sports" is a masterpiece, then so is "Big Generator". 
I prefer Yes and Floyd to Genesis, but I'll listen to everything from "Trespass" through "Trick of the Tail" twenty times apiece before I'll punish myself with anything by Floyd after "Wish You Were Here" or anything by Yes after "Relayer".

I guess I go like this:
Pink Floyd, Yes, Genesis...
The thought that someone could say that David Gilmour always played the same guitar solo... makes me realize that there's a lot more people here than me or KE9 who show biasness towards specific bands... 
And James, Division Bell is in my top 3 favorite PF albums...
And I loved Yes's early stuff... even Tormato. Then Big Generator just blew them out of the water... 
And I've just never gotten into Genesis no matter how much I listen to them. They are great for background music, when you're not really paying attention, but once I'm paying attention, I have to play something else... Sorry, I admit it with them.. I just don't get the attraction, but then generally I can't stand Broadway musicals either.

No they didn't but they had Rick Wakeman and Steve Howe, the first one with a better technique than Tony (Even if I like Tony's music more) and Steve Howe in the same level as Steve Hackett again despite my preference for Hacketts work in Genesis and solo.

Me. "Animals" is raw, and angry Floyd. Such an important work...
And for all those "Division Bell" naysayers out there, give it a try.
As Threefates stated, I too rank it in my Top 3 Floyd albums, without
hesitation. Don't let any pro-Waters prejudice cloud your thoughts
about this album. Musically it is very uplifting.
For me: 1. Animals, 2. Division Bell, 3. DSOTM I know most people would
totally disagree with me but they'll see the light eventually

Hey 3F8ts-I too believe that anyone believing Gilmour plays the same solo over and over is deaf and mentally-impaired.(  agree???) The guy has racked up some incredible solos over his career and every one of them makes you want to jump up and play "air guitar".No other guitarist has this effect on me-I have suddenly "strummed" on buses,planes and trains and even in traffic jams, whilst listening to my walkman over the years.You can just imagine what the other passengers are thinking-"aah,of course-he's listening to Pink Floyd!"

impossible to decide - all have an equal place in my affections
But if I HAD ot choose - it'd be Floyd
I could listen to Gilmour all day every day. Expression, emotion, delicacy, intensity, sensitivity - what a guitar player!
Anyone disagree? Have a listen to his playing on 'Dogs' - it blows anything Hackett or Howe ever did out of the water.

I'm with you 100%, too, Ivan! It's a pity that his farewell message was just bogus.
Oh, I voted for YES , because I considered a "mental rating" of their best works. I thinck that Fragile, CTTE and Relayer surpass even the best Genesis and PF recordings. But of course, all of them have done some only good recordings, others so-so, and some lousy albums and songs, too. I didn't go for the elements (guitarists, drummers, lyricis, vocalists...) but for the works themselves.

Hi Everybody,
I think I will be crucified now, but I think we can't compare musicians.
Can you imagine Carl Palmer or Neil Peart playing drums in The Beatles ?
Or Geddy Lee playing bass in Rolling Stones.
It will never works, apart all of them are spectacular musicians !
So I think it's a lost of time compares Gilmour, Howe & Hacket. All superb guitar players (my favourites), but each one in his band. I can't imagine Yes with Gilmour, Genesis with Howe or Pink Floyd with Hackett... It can works, but will be very very very different!
OK. Our taste for best bands is one thing, but I don't like to compare which is the best guitarrist.
Well this is only MY opinion.

Agree with you, you can compare the different styles but at that level, it's hard to say which one is best, this is my opinion:
Steve Hackett: He's the master of the atmospheres and his accoustic playing is simply impeccable.
Steve Howe: He's a band player, plays good solos and outstanding electric parts, still I think his accoustic is not as strong as Hackett's. The guy needs more versatility, he has spent the last 30 - 35 years playing the same two solos (Mood for a Day and Clap) except in a couple of cases.
Dave Gilmour: Complete guitar player, he's the master of the solos, also has a very good atmospheric sound when he needs to.
I'd go with Hackett butthat's only a matter of taste.
