Topic: The Days of future Passed - Moody Blues Posted: April 25 2005 at 15:09 |
I've loved this album ever since I was a kid, my uncle had a copy and I remember first listening to it when I was like 8 or 9; it was really one of those defining moments for me. I particularly enjoyed the second half of the album, especially

I had another listern at the weekend. The albums one failiure IMO is the orchestral parts are too dominant, and are at times innapropriate alongside the songs themeslves. The most striking example of this is from the 'Afternoon..' section onward

My mom loves the Moody Blues. She has taken me to see them twice. I was 8 the first time I saw 'em at the Desert Sky Pavilion (Now the Cricket Pavilion) in Phoenix. The second I was 9 and they were playing the Arizona State Fair in Phoenix. (Helpful adv

I guess I need to listen to it more... I bought it a few weeks ago, listened to it, and immediately filed it under "might listen to again some day". On the first listen, it sounded horribly naff, dated and overdone. However, I wa

Originally released on Decca's specialist high fidelity stereo label Phase 4. Remember at the time, it was probably mum and dad who owned the stereo gramophone, not the kids*. Hence a label originally aimed at the middle class and the middle

On first listen I thought the orchestration went too far, but with each listen I grow to love it more. The very first concept album??
