On first listen I thought the orchestration went too far, but with each listen I grow to love it more. The very first concept album?? ------------- Ultimately bored by endless ecstasy! |

It was recorded same year as Sgt Pepper, but is certainly more of a concept. Sgt Pepper has reoccuring themes and several related songs, but DOFP is an uninterupted concept - there is no song |

This is the album that inspired TMB to go for it and, together with the Floyds, the early Softs, the Nice and a few others, put some intellectual drive and multicolours into the realms of rock'n'roll - give birth to prog rock. < |

I have problems really 'getting' this album. I recognize its excellent production, and symphonic qualities. However besides 'Tuesday Afternoon' and 'Nights of White Satin' (a great song killed by overplay on FM radio) I am easily distracted when listeni ------------- Marmalade...I like marmalade. |

Although I have some of TMB albums and I'm not great fan of them, "The Days Of Future Passed" is an excellent album. I like that mixture of rock'n'roll and classical music, the concept of this album is very interesting - 7 parts of the day, my favourite ------------- Pablo P. |

I had another listern at the weekend. The albums one failiure IMO is the orchestral parts are too dominant, and are at times innapropriate alongside the songs themeslves. The most striking example of this is from the 'Afternoon..' section onward |
