Well, of course, if Heart's Crazy on You is a hard rock song, then here it is: I admit that I don't know what hard rock is!

barely re-entered thru the chimney after being kicked out the door, and you're already a nuisance, Svettie PigPinchNuke

given how wide the answers have been (certainly don't see The Who as Hard Rock), Heart was considered by a lot as a Zep copycat by some. Good enough for me.

let's just stay above the moral melee
prefer the sink to the gutter
keep our sand-castle virtues
content to be a doer
as well as a thinker,
prefer lifting our pen
rather than un-sheath our sword

If much of 1970s' Heavy Metal has turned into Hard Rock, then I can understand that there's not much Hard Rock in The Who, but then, I still don't really get it with Heart. Big smile

I guess that it's not so seldom to be Metal fan before turning to Prog aficionado.

Well, the imagery of Heart is not very macho, they're still hard enough for me. Take a look at one of their concerts on YT to get a load of it.

Where I do have a (slight) problem, it's considering TYA  as hard rock, despite loving everything from Undead until RnR Music TTW

Leppard aren't metal. Sabbath pops up a lot in the thread. Motorhead are "rock and roll"!

Okay, I'll call it rather folkish Hard Rock. Wink

Like, I'll also call Manfred Mann's Solar Fire and Captain Beyond for progressive Hard Rock.
