Hey all,
Since so many have been checking
out my synth only recording of "Pictures at an Exhibition", I thought
some might also like to hear my synth only version of "The Planets" by
Holst. It's the same basic 'classical arranged for synth' idea, but
recorded on a much newer synth, a Dave Smith Instruments Prophet 12. In their early days, King Crimson used to do a live arrangement
based on the theme from "Mars" (which appears on the "Epitaph Vol 1 and 2" boxed set) but IIRC, the estate of Holst got upset
they weren't asked permission so when they put it on "In the Wake of
Poseidon" they altered it and renamed it "The Devil's Triangle"...but it's
still arguably based on the main theme from Mars Anyway, if you want to check it out you can find it here: Thanks for listening
