^ Thanks Mayer, both done.

except I'm confused with the first line of the line-up/musicians:

- Henk Bol / all instruments but..., Mellotron (3), percussion (3), organ (3), synthesizers (3), GeoShred (3)

What does it mean?

^ Good luck sorting that one out!

Discogs hasn't got any info on the release as yet.

This is the Bandcamp and OOB Records version of it:

- Ky Fyfer / piano, lead guitar, bass guitar, drums, Mellotron, percussion, organ, synthesizers, GeoShred, lead vocals & vocal arrangements
- Henk Bol / all other instruments & arrangements
- Marlou Vriens / lead vocals & vocal arrangements (2,6-8)

- Tiger Brooke / backing vocals
- Margie Fifer-Hodgson / backing vocals
- Greg West / backing vocals
- Austin Wilson / backing vocals
- Dustin Rose / backing vocals

Featuring Guest Musicians:
- Cees Zoeteweij / organ, electric piano
- Greg den Hartog / lead guitar
- Ton Scherpenzeel / synthesizer solo
- Mels F. Bol / drums, poem
- Pjotr Jurtschenko / saxophone, flute
- John Voorbrood / lead guitar
- Hans Holema / lead guitar, synthesizer solo
- Mark Bogert / lead guitar
- Alessandro Bertoni / synthesizer solo - stage IV
- Martin Vermeulen /sonnet
- Cleem Determeijer / piano, keyboards, orchestral arrangements
- Nick Oosterhuis (R.I.P.) / music intro, piano intro

Compositions by Henk Ph.J. Bol & Cees Zoeteweij (1)
Lyrics by Henk Ph.J. Bol & Ky Fifer

Proggnosis agrees with Mayer's version, giving details of the different track numbers that the various guest artists perform on, but where this originally came from I have no idea, since I can't make out this kind of information printed on any of the CD booklet images I could find (though I didn't find a version that I could zoom in on and read properly). However, Proggnosis and Mayer's version disagrees with Bandcamp and OOB Records regarding the instruments that the two leading musicians played, so what the truth actually is I just don't know. Confused

Edit: There's a review of the album here by a Dutch guy which also backs up the Mayer/Proggnosis take on the matter, but why would Bandcamp and OOB Records have a different one?

Maybe we need to contact Kathy Keller at OOB Records, who presumably have an official press kit for the release, or perhaps contact Philhelmon on Facebook to ask the question?

Henk Bol is a registered member here. He joined after Philhelmon was suggested for inclusion here by our old friend Svetonio in January 2013, when I was previously a member of the Crossover team, and he must have found the thread via an Internet search. However, his two posts in that thread were the only ones he ever made, and he's not logged into his account since early March 2013, so there's no point really in messaging him on here.

Anyhow, I sent a message to Philhelmon via their Facebook page, and let's see what happens. Maybe Henk will revive his PA account and respond in this thread, maybe Philhelmon will just supply the info I asked for via Facebook messenger, or maybe they won't pick the message up at all, in which case if we still can't find confirmation of the correct musicians credits via the Internet, I'll try Kathy Keller at OOB Records.

Now, going back to another Philhelmon related topic from July 2023 that was never really resolved definitively:

The name of the band is Crusade not Philhelmon! Philhelmon was the nickname of one of Crusade member "Henk Bol" that 38 years later put out the new band (he created "Philhelmon" in 2006) 1st album, so you can't call the album "Small as Blue (As Crusade)" cause Crusade was a band by itself, sorry it was my oversight when I added Crusade here, either Crusade will have their own page or here on top it should be Crusade/Philhelmon and the albums from 2012 & 2018 should be next to the album's name (as Philhelmon)

Eugene responded thus:

We have the US prog-metal band CRUSADE, but obviously it has nothing common with Dutch project PHILHELMON.

As for Small and Blue album, I see 2 options:
1. Delete it because there is no Dutch band CRUSADE on PA.
2. Leave it as it is (i.e. "Small as Blue (As Crusade)") in PHILHELMON discography. In this case we have to change its release year to 2000, because this page reads:
"In 1974 they started recording at the Rainbow Studios in The Hague. These sessions were to produce a first single and an album. Due to the world wide oil crisis this was, unfortunately, never to be. The disappointment eventually led to the break up of the band.
In 2000 Sound Art & Design restored these recordings and now you can enjoy them too.

What do you prefer?

Mayer never replied to this question, and the album is included on the Philhelmon Bandcamp page as a 1974 release.

So, I think it is correct to leave it on the Philhelmon page at Progarchives released as 'Crusade' as it currently is, but I would be inclined to change the release year to 2000 as Eugene suggests in his reply above, since that is when the album finally saw the light of day, and include a note at the bottom to say that: This album was recorded in 1974 at the Rainbow Studios in The Hague, but due to the Worldwide oil crisis at that time it never got released and the resulting disappointment led to the break up of Crusade as a band. In 2000 Sound Art & Design restored the recordings and finally released the album.

Edit: Philhelmon have responded already to my message on Facebook, and are going to supply the correct musician credits for the 'Into the Mist of Time' album asap.

On "Aphelion", from Leprous, there are some instruments missing on PA.

Brass Blåsernafian featuring Nora Hannisdal
Trombone: Sigurd Evendsen
Trumpet: Stig Espen Hundsnes
Saxophone: Jørgen Lund Karlsen
French horn: Nora Hannisdal

The booklet of my CD doesn't have a Pål Gunnar Fiksdal at trumpet

Be safe and secure.

^

This is the line-up according to the Discogs LP cover image:

- Einar Solberg / vocals, keyboards
- Tor Oddmund Suhrke / guitar
- Robin Ognedal / guitar
- Simen Daniel Børven / bass
- Baard Kolstad / drums
- Raphael Weinroth-Browne / cello
- Chris Baum / violin

Blåsemafian Brass Ensemble featuring Nora Hannisdal:
- Sigurd Evendsen / trombone
- Stig Espen Hundsnes / trumpet
- Jørgen Lund Karlsen / saxophone
- Nora Hannisdal / French horn

As well as there being no mention of a Pål Gunnar Fiksdal on trumpet, I can't find Henriette Lindstad Børven (violin), Ellen Fjærvoll Samdal (violin) or Karen Suhrke (cello) - who are also currently listed on our page - shown on that cover image either.

Gerd Weyhing - Il Giardino dell'Impossibilità: https://www.progarchives.com/album.asp?id=87117.

This album has been 100% generated using the Udio artificial intelligence music generation platform, and whilst I'm not sure at the moment if it will be remaining on the site permanently (the subject of the eligibility or otherwise of AI-generated music for inclusion on PA is currently being discussed in the collab zone), for now at least I feel that the text in the Line-up / Musicians section should be changed from - Gerd Weyhing / everything to - Gerd Weyhing / all instrumentation and vocals created using the artificial intelligence music generation platform Udio, or something similar.

Although Gerd says towards the bottom of his notes on Bandcamp that to him, the musicians and singers are completely real - they're not - and I think people reading about or listening to the album need to know that.

- E&O Team: Thanks David, done.

^ That list, and the track numbers in the brackets, will need very careful checking to make sure I haven't messed up anywhere. It wasn't an easy task for an old man with a half-shrivelled brain lol! There are quite a few differences between that list and the credits that we (and Proggnosis) have at the moment. Maybe Julien has a utility of some sort in his toolbox that can do the same job, and thus eliminate any potential human error.

- E&O Team: Thanks David, nice job! Done.

Blood Incantation - 'Absolute Elsewhere': https://www.progarchives.com/album.asp?id=86900 - Needs a bit of help with formatting, some more detail could also be provided, but with 18 different issues and a somewhat unusual track listing it's a bit too complicated for my pea-sized brain to fathom out how best to present it.

This is the best I can do:

Bandcamp style track listing:

1. The Stargate [Tablet I] (8:20)
2. The Stargate [Tablet II] (5:08)
3. The Stargate [Tablet III] (6:50)
4. The Message [Tablet I] (5:56)
5. The Message [Tablet II] (5:58)

^ Thanks, David.
If you don't mind, I'll add 3CD + Blu-Ray limited edition release as a separate entry to Boxsets/Compilations.

Agree?

^ No objection from me, Eugene. I'm not really sure myself to be honest, but it does come packaged differently than the standard CD, and contains plenty of additional material, so yeah - let's have it as a separate entry in Boxsets/Compilations.

- E&O Team: Thanks, David, done.
Standard edition updated as well.
