Subject: ERRORS THREAD Report Errors and Omissions Here
Date Posted: November 13 2011 at 08:47
The team has decided to implement having reporting of all errors here in this thread, rather than start a new one for every case. So from here on, please report all errors and omissions here.

One cannot now start a new thread in this zone!!!

Please provide links to any errors reported.

Video, weblinks, dupilcated entries and album covers will still be reported in their own threads

Here are the links to those threads

Can someone sticky this please?

Hi there,

Thanks so much for recently adding Eumeria to prog archives.

Would it be possible just to make a few changes to the biography?

http://www.progarchives.com/artist.asp?id=6866" rel="nofollow - http://www.progarchives.com/artist.asp?id=6866

Eumeria was founded collaboratively (by Bobby, Reece and Jonny) in 2009 rather than just Bobby alone. Would be great if the biography reflected this.

Thanks a lot guys - great site by the way.

Eumeria

HI E&O FRIENDS, THIS IS CÉSAR INCA.

It is my fault about the Sur Oculto’s 2001 album cover in ProgArchives. Someone swiftly attended my request concerning the aforementioned album cover image, and that was good, but I posted the wrong link, and that’s my bad!!

Here http://www.conexionunder.com/content/photos/generated/4/3044_250-400.jpg" rel="nofollow - http://www.conexionunder.com/content/photos/generated/4/3044_250-400.jpg or here  http://images.socialplan.com/eee58081cdee4337_a12657477f433272_r.jpg or here   http://redaccion351.com/wp-content/themes/Yen/timthumb.php?src=http://redaccion351.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/08/PORTADA-disco-SUR-OCULTO.jpg&h=200&w=305&zc=1" rel="nofollow - http://redaccion351.com/wp-content/themes/Yen/timthumb.php?src=http://redaccion351.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/08/PORTADA-disco-SUR-OCULTO.jpg&h=200&w=305&zc=1 you can get the proper cover image for Sur Oculto’s eponymous third album, released just a couple of months ago. Pick any of these images.

Thank you in advance for your attention.

That's it where I was confused, if artist is the capacity here, or if we will alter his/her/their decision by our rules (if such rules exist). It is short, but so is the Patchwork:

http://www.progarchives.com/album.asp?id=3934

Even it is 30 minutes long (but 9 of these is live version song, which tend to be longer than studio versions of the same song under the normal conditions).

Just some food for night thoughts :)

PARSONS BAND, ALAN

PARSONS PROJECT, ALAN

I am curious if they should remain like that, filled under P. I thought that switching Last for First name is done only for artist names - personal names. While there is Alan's name in this artist name, these words "band" and "project" hints it should be taken as any other artist name - filled under A.

If we had artist Alan Parsons (and nothing more), it would be OK for me to have him under P - Parsons, Alan, but band and project words breaks this rule I think. Because when you have artist with only two names (or three in special cases - including middle name), you switch first with second, do the complete opposite, turn them all around. But with "Parsons, Alan Project", the result is somehow weird. Unnatural, wrong.

At least that how it sounds to me.

^ Actually, my first thought was to look him up under P, because I saw Parsons, but then (in a next second), I clicked on A, because I thought about it quickly and reached (also quick) conclusion that Project word dispels it.

It reminds me when I first tried to look "A Piedi Nudi" under P, thinking that "A" is like English article Tongue.

I hope this is the right place to post it: In the bio of the band Fuchsia Mervyn is spelled Mervin:

http://www.progarchives.com/artist.asp?id=2585" rel="nofollow - http://www.progarchives.com/artist.asp?id=2585

It’s not a big deal, but it would still be nice to spell the name correctly. (I think Ian knows very well why I post this!)

Sleepy

Shall we proceed somehow, or leave it as it is ?

When I think about mentioned A PIEDI NUDI, isn't "A" article, like "the" ? But we don't switch the order, so it's filled under A, probably because it is from language other than English.

Marthy, A PIEDI NUDI means "without shoes" ("bos" in Czech, if I'm right), they should stay under A.

There are spelling mistakes in the tracklist of the omonimous SAINT JUST album.

1. Il Fiume Inondo (10:43)
2. Il riveglio (6:16)
3. Dolci Momenti (3:16)
4. Una Bambina (8:02)
5. Trister Peota di Corte (6:19)
6. Saint Just (3:58)

Correct names;

1. Il Fiume Inondò (the accent is very important in Italian)
2.. Il Risveglio ("Awakening")
5. Triste Poeta Di Corte (sad poet of court)

True, it's "bos", barefoot if I'm correct (Snowy, help there?). As I am no expert on Italian grammar, this was just a wild guess, but curious example for me, so I mentioned it.

So the "a" in question doesn't work like English "a" and is not an article ? But then we get people who are used to "A" being an article and would look for the band under "P", as Piedi Nudi, A. It is not right, but who knows how people think in that way.

By the way, I use "ALL" letters list and just search for band I need Smile

Good evening Torodd,

I send this email because I've seen some typos in the Alkozaur biography. I reported them in the "about progarchives.com" section few days agos, but I saw no change. On the other hand, I see that the interview I answered yesterday is already online (thank you!). So I wonder if it will be possible for you to make the corrections ? I've put in bold the changes in the text hereunder (into perenthesis the wrong word).

Thanks
Kind regards
Antoine.

Alkozaur biography
French band ALKOZAUR was formed back in 2003 by (Anthony) Antoine Ferrera (bass) and Didier (Lapchine) Lapchin (guitars), long time friends whose relationship has ben ongoing since they attended school together in the late 70's and played in school band Illwill. The two of them started rehearsing at (Anthony's) Antoine's place, initially (utilizinf) utilizing (keyoboards) keyboards for additional instrumental details. Later on three friends of (Anthony) Antoine would help out occasionally, namely Philippe Compagnon (vocals), Patrick Perard (keyboards) and Philippe (Thelle) Thelliez (drums).

By 2008 it becomes clear that Compagnon and (Thelle) Thelliez won't be able to contribute on a regular basis anymore, and Perard is in a similar situation. Thierry Laurent (drums) and Serge Ruiz (keyboards) hooks up with founding duo Ferrera and (Lapchine) Lapchin at this point, and it turns out that Compagnon can stay with this project a wee bit longer too. To commemorate this, the band decides that this is the time to record their debut album, capturing this version of the band on disc while Compagnon still has the possibility to contribute.

Alkozaur hits the studio in January 2010, and finish the recording sessions prior to the summer of 2010. Mix and production follows for the next year or so, and late in 2011 their debut CD Serum of Life is released through Musea Records. While this production was finalized, Jocelyne Monsen (vocals) joined the band as their new lead vocalist, ready to contribute to their future endeavours.

Hello,
Sorry to just drop a message like this here, but I need some help.

I added a couple of albums to Bob Drake's page -- http://www.progarchives.com/artist.asp?id=3476 -- but he has kindly requested that we remove some of them, since he does not consider them "true" albums. They are:

- ../album.asp?id=33794" rel="nofollow - Whither's Old-Time Town Square Cabaret Orchestra
- ../album.asp?id=34084" rel="nofollow - Whithered Bouquet

One is actually a duo album, and the latter are just a couple unofficial improvs.

Thanks & apologies if this is not the correct section. Please remove these albums!

Also: a couple of the other "non-studio" albums up there may need to be removed later, I'm waiting for word back from Mr. Drake before I let you know though!

Is there some other category they could be put under?

Ah I see they are not in the albums category. Is this still a problem?

They aren't official releases, and they need to be removed from the site altogether, by request of the artist himself. I'm the guy who added them, so I feel a personal responsibility towards realizing his wishes.

The tracklist for the Eldberg self titled album

Thanks, done.

But if you want your posts to be easier to handle please formulate them clearer.

So your post had to look as follows:
Please correct the title of the track 6 of the following album:  http://www.progarchives.com/album.asp?id=35082" rel="nofollow - http://www.progarchives.com/album.asp?id=35082 .
Replace "6. EEg er lkfsins braus (6:08)" with "Eg er lkfsins braus (6:08)"

That was enough, it was the only difference. The entire tracklist (without tracks' times) was not necessary.

By the way, do you know these musicians' names:
- Jakob Gr?tar Sigurdsson / drums, vibraphone

Collaborator:
- Eva Guo?r??ur / (tenor sax (2)

I mean letters shown like question marks.

Why was there a track 8 on an album with 7 tracks, also I gave you the musicians names in an earlier post

What's about this:
Collaborator:
- Eva Guo?r??ur / (tenor sax (2) ?

I don't know how this should be handled but...

I received The Pineapple Thief's album Variations on a Dream for Christmas. It is a 2011 re-release with new cover art and a bonus CD. This CD contains a whole album, titled 8 Days, that was supposedly released in limited supply with the original album. The track listing is as follows:

1. Sunday 20th (5:46)
2. Monday 21th (6:23)
3. Tuesday 22nd (4:40)
4. Wednesday 23rd (5:28)
5. Thursday 24th (7:19)
6. Friday 25th (7:17)
7. Saturday 26th (part one) (4:10)
8. Saturday 26th (part two) (4:53)
9. Sunday 27th (part one) (5:55)
10. Sunday 27th (part two) (5:05)

I am unsure of how this should be resolved. It could be listed as a separate album, but I don't know. I'll trust your judgment.

EDIT: A link with info...  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Variations_on_a_Dream" rel="nofollow - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Variations_on_a_Dream

^ They have rather a convoluted discography don't they? There's a similar bonus CD with the 12 Stories Down album entitled '8 days later' but  no duplication of tracks from the bonus CD that you got with Variations of a Dream so I'll add the details to the latter as 'releases info' as there is no evidence it's available separately. BTW the band's website states the bonus CD you have was limited to the first 1000 copies of Variations and they have no plans to re-release it (You sure your version is a new copy?)

I also notice that 10 Stories Down is a remastered, remixed and re-arranged version of 12 Stories Down (different number and order of tracks but are they completely different performances?)

I'm assuming that September Sampler and Limited Edition Free CD are just different names for the same entity?

There is definitely a re-release of Variations with 8 Days as a bonus disk.  I just saw it at the store a couple of days ago.  I didn't buy it, though, as I'm not exactly sure how fond of TPT I actually am.  Confused
Anyway, here's a quote from the Burning Shed web site:
" Originally released in 2004, Variations On A Dream was The Pineapple Thief's third studio album.
Re-mixed and re-mastered by Bruce Soord, this 2011 Kscope edition also comes with a new cover.
Presented in the same way as the original limited release, the rare 8 Days album appears on CD 2. "

I also have the 10 stories down (not 12 stories down, which I believe is rare) re-release with 8 Days Later.

As for whether or not they should be listed here as separate releases, I have no idea.  Do they have official album covers?

Hello, I want to report this error:

http://www.progarchives.com/post_commentreview.asp

Server Error

500 - Internal server error.

There is a problem with the resource you are looking for, and it cannot be displayed.

This is like the first 3rd time I want to comment about a review and it's just a waste of time, I guess you did this on purpose to prevent who knows what. I think you should fix it or remove it.

The first 2 messages were meant to thank a prog reviewer for the one of the best reviews I read in this site. And now that I wrote the 3rd comment I don't feel like letting it go, so I'll paste it here:

""Man, why reviewing an album by a band you hate so much?
Reading this review is really sickening. I don't know if I should use the report link 'cause it's really sickening.
PS: I read a fair amount of XXXX albums reviews, some are then are harsh and I don't care, but yours is an insult to any reviewer or reader""
