Yeah, just going off the albums of those bands which I own (4 crimson, 3 yes) I’m not saying I dislike CTTE and LTIA, they are great albums, I just don’t enjoy them as much as the others I own (red, itcotck, discipline, relayer & yes album) Edited by enigma - October 06 2018 at 15:10 |

I couldn't decide which is better - Red or Larks. Both are pure genius almost same debut, Poseidon, Discipiline and THRAK.
FRIPP is god over gods.

I find it incredible the amount of nominations The Final Cut keeps getting for worst Floyd album
it was the best thing they ever did. so wonderfully self indulgent.

You need to get more albums by both these bands! There are plenty of albums in both their discographies that are plenty worse than these (both materpieces IMO) |

OK, from a more "objective" point of view I guess I should rate Remain in Light as the best Talking Heads album (it was clearly the most groundbreaking), but if we speak personal taste only, I think I like Fear of Music better.

I like it very much. It's not proggy (maybe prog-related). It's the album of a songwriter. But beautiful. In my opinion, it's better than Momentary Lapse of Reason or Division Bell, but even better than The Wall. It's difficult to compare it with the Floyd's discs from 1967 to 1977, because they are progressive albums of a rock band while The Final Cut is an author album made from orchestral melodic rock ballads. |

Amos Goldberg (professor of Genocide Studies at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem): Yes, it's genocide. It's so difficult and painful to admit it, but we can no longer avoid this conclusion.

I don't understand the criticism it gets either. It is the only post-DSOTM album I ever listen to. |

"A" is/was an absolute breath of fresh air IMHO. I was getting tired of the true folky stuff. Only one duddish track on A that is Working John Working Joe; all others are brilliant (again IMHO). I rate it 5 stars ..Anderson a genius for changing direction so drastically.......then he took two backward steps and made "Broadsword and The Beast", which to me is/was mostly a commercial, overproduced folk/rock-tinged yawnfest.....IMHO!
