Bit of a sad one, the end of Chris Squire's biography page makes reference to hoping that he will release another solo album soon. Obviously that's not very likely so perhaps needs a change to reflect his later years.

MILLENIUM don't have a proper bio, it's now very incomplete and outdated.

I asked Ryszard Kramarski and he gave permission for PA to use the one that used to be on their old webpage, now down (since 2014, it seems) - guess it could be added with proper reference to the origin.

Here it is:

1999
It was June 1999 and a year passed since the release of the album of FRAMAURO. After my friends suggestions I decided to hire a professional studio and record the second album. The songs on this record were to come mainly from the first demo of FRAMAURO, which I recorded in my bedroom in 1996, officially released as a bootleg. The title had to be Last word the end-first demo or how Millenium started. I decided, though, that this time there will be a new vocalist and the drum machine will be replaced by a real drummer. The first new member of the group was the drummer Tomasz Paśko from INSIDE OUT, and after trying a few candidates Łukasz Gałęziowski "Gall" was chosen. After two months the bassman of INSIDE OUT, Piotr Mazurkiewicz joined the group. In August 1999 we entered the B&B studio in the following line-up:

RYSZARD KRAMARSKI- KEYBOARDS, ACCOUSTIC/ELECTRIC GUITAR
ŁUKASZ GALL- VOCAL
TOMASZ PABIAN- SOLO/ELECTRIC GUITAR
PIOTR MAZURKIEWICZ- BASS
TOMASZ PAŚKO- DRUMS

It was a mixture of FRAMAURO and INSIDE OUT. In the half of the recording session I decided to change the name of the band from FRAMAURO into MILLENIUM and though it was meant to be a temporary name, it's used till now. The album "Millenium" appeared in October 1999 followed by two maxi-singles- "Ecosong" and "There once once a country". However, me and the rest of the band werent satisfied with the effect, especially with the mix (nocomments). Fortunately enough people bought this album and it allowed me to start work on another one. Two months after the release of "Millenium" my cousin Tomasz Pabian left the band. I know many people whosay that the first album of MILLENIUM was the re-painted FRAMAURO and, honestly speaking- THEY ARE RIGHT! In the end of October 1999 Piotr Płonka (guitar) joined the group and the line-up looked as follows:

RYSZARD KRAMARSKI- KEYBOARDS
TOMASZ PAŚKO- DRUMS
ŁUKASZ GALL- VOCAL
PIOTR PŁONKA- GUITAR
PIOTR MAZURKIEWICZ- BASS
2000
It was the proper MILLENIUM. For me and the rest of the band the album "VOCANDA" is the debut of Millenium. "VOCANDA" was released in November 2000 and was followed by a maxi-single "Lady Cash Cash" which was editted in small amount and directed to the wrong people (from important radio stations).

2002

However this time we were happy with the end result and the album is still selling well. Half a year we were recording our album "REINCARNATIONS", which appeared in May 2002. The Polish version was followed by a maxi-single "Cygara smak", released in December 2002. The same month I opened a big professional LYNX MUSIC STUDIO oriented on art-rock. Here I started on twenty songs for the late st album. Before the recording session Piotr Mazurkiewicz and Piotr Płonka left the band and new musicians came on their place- Przemek Drużkowski (guitar) and Krzysztof Wyrwa (bass and Chapman Stick bass).

2003/2004

The first ten songs were recorded between August 2003 and March 2004. The album "DEJA VU" is in sale since June. The new sound of MILLENIUM has the climate of PETER GABRIEL and PINK FLOYD. I could at last say- Im satisfied in 99 per cent with this album.

In the process of working on "Deja Vu" the new material was ready to be released on a new album "To Zero, Zero For". However, I got the idea of coming back to the roots of Millenium and create a concept album similar to the second one, "Vocanda". And so I did.

2005

The new album "Interdead" tells about Adrian - a man addicted to the internet. In January 2005 the former guitarist Piotr Płonka comes back to the band, bringing along the Gilmour-like sound and Łukasz Gall sings like a real art-rocker. The album is definitely in the style of PINK FLOYD and ROGER WATERS with a small influence of the old MARILLION.
2006
During the work on the album Interdead I had an idea of combining the two heroes from Vocanda, Interdead and the album I was working on at that moment. And so the trilogy of the three brothers appeared the oldest of them, John Sunders became the main hero of the latest album Numbers and the big dream of Mr Sunders. It took almost a year to finish the new album, which was released in September 2006. The album is headed by a maxi single The numbers with a song omitted on the album - talk to Aliens -part 2. Numbers.. is the next concept album, a musical tale about numbers and dreams we all dream. The album tells the story of a John Sunders, who, after having chosen the right numbers, wins a huge sum of money but that is just the beginning of his adventures... Ten songs combined together create the music in the style of Pink Floyd, however performed in a typical Millenium-like manner.

2007

Year 2007 has come time for summary: 7 YEARS is a two-CD album summarising the seven-year-period of Millenium’s artistic activity. On the first album there are six songs which hadn’t been published before, six rarities coming mainly from promo-maxi-singles plus three remixes created by the winners of ESTRADA I STUDIO contest for the best remix of the song Alone in fame. The second album contains the best songs of the band, which means the songs most often played by radio stations. Additionally on the album there is a video-clip to the song 7 Years

30th of November: exclusive limited edition of the album „Vocanda”. This subtly modified version of the original CD with completely new graphics, released as a digi-pack with four bonus tracks from the maxi single “Lady Cash Cash” (which has been unavailable for a considerable time) should grab the interest of old and new Millenium fans alike. “Vocanda” is the first part of the “ Three Brothers trilogy” and it tells the story of the businessman Daniel (brother of Adrian and John Sunders, the heroes of the later albums: “Interdead” and “Numbers and Big Dream of Mr Sunders” respectively). We invite you to listen to this amazing story once more…

2008
In aprill 2008 I recorded a mini album Three Brothers Epilogue with 3 tracks. 15-minuts SUITE Epilogue -this the end of Three Brothers Trilogy and two rarietes from Numbers... session.

In March 2008 I started working on the new Millenium material. It was recorded in the same line-up as Numbers and Three brothers epilogue.

The session ended in September. The album is called Exist.

Exist is a theme album, describing through lyrics and music the most important parts of our lives (birth, childhood, love, family, work and old age). This is the most progressive and mature album in Millenium’s discography. Four expanded compositions, long guitar solos and rich arrangements. It is the album for the fans of Pink Floyd, Genesis, Marillion, IQ, Arena, Pendragon. It is available in digipack version and standard plastic package. Both versions include original lyrics and translations.

Back on stage and recording first DVD concert 11.12.2009

2010

first DVD and live audio 2cd "Back after years -live in Kraków "

1 september 2010 : Eight years after the first edition of Millenium's
"Reincarnations" it is time for the special re-edition.
Ryszard Kramarski on the topic:

...apart from new graphic design and digipack version there are also a few
musical changes.

In 2002 while mixing the material I had an idea of combining three independent songs into one art, making the suite "The casino of love. Later it turned out that it was not the correct thing to do. Having the re-edition in mind I decided to come back to the original version and the old sequence of songs presenting the 12 theories of reincarnation. The suite was however added as a bonus. Moreover, there is also another version of "Hundreds of falling rivers" (not published so far) as well as the alternative version of "My life domino" (published on the album "7 years")

In 2002 at the end of mixes I could not decide which version should appear on the album. Now it is time to present the other choice. I think that this album in the new shape will uncover to the listeners the theories of reincarnations, both in the musical and literary sense..

2010- The time has come for the re-edition of old albums by Millenium. This time it is the new edition of "Numbers and the big dream of Mr. Sunders - The third part of the Three Brothers" Trilogy (so the story of John Sunders) appears in a completely new graphic design in digipack version. After many suggestions from the fans the second part was added to the original track "Talk to Aliens" which originally was erased on purpose during the mixes in 2006. Now these two songs in full version under the title "Dream about Aliens" form the integral part of this concept album. The song ?Wake up John? was added as a bonus to be the alternative end of the album.
2011
White Crow album -There were three important reasons for releasing this unique album.First of all: the year 2010 was the 10th anniversary of Millenium and such an album surely makes an ideal present for all the fans. The second reason: the two older albums "7 Years" and "Three Brothers? Epilogue" have been sold out and will never be re-released again. There were a few interesting songs on these albums which, together with another rarities from White Crow, make a brand new album now. The third reason: Millenium closes with this album the next chapter in its history. On the "White Crow" album you can find some rarities from the years 2003-2010, coming from different compilation albums, promotional singles and maxi-singles, as well as the songs and mixes published for the first time. You can also listen to a new song - "White Crow", written especially for this album. All the tracks have been recorded by the line up of today's Millenium, that means: Łukasz Gall -vocals , Piotr Płonka- guitars , Krzysztof Wyrwa -bass , Tomasz Paśko- drums and Ryszard Kramarski- keyboards.

Three years have passed since our last studio album "Exist". We can proudly inform all our fans that we´ve just finished recording our brand new material "Puzzles". In 2008, after releasing "Exist" I already knew that our next Millenium album would be a double one and symbolically white. This white cover is not a coincidence - it should evoke the reminiscence of the Pink Floyd cult "The Wall" album. This album was, and still is, very important to me because it inspired me some time ago to start my long adventure with progressive rock scene. The album "Puzzles" mirrors my greatest musical fascinations starting with Pink Floyd, Genesis, Marillion, Camel and ending with some lighter music like ELO, The Alan Parsons Project, Queen or The Beatles. I was of course supported by other musicians of Millenium. They patiently listened to my clues and added many good ideas of their own. They did a great job and I´m really thankful to them. I quickly realised why so few bands make double albums. It´s a difficult and time-consuming work, however very satisfying. "Puzzles" is a concept album about the complicated man woman relationship. In terms of music it comes back to the 70s and 80s but it is produced in a modern way. We had a possibility to test our new equipment and instruments what contributed to the sound value of the album. If I were to compare this CD to our previous ones I would choose "Vocanda" and "Numbers And The Big Dream Of Mr.Sunders". The way of releasing this album is also a sign of my personal longing for the era of vinyl records, those of you who will purchase this album will understand what I mean. Leading the uneven fight with illegal mp3s in the net Millenium releases their albums in beautiful digipack versions including the booklets and translations of lyrics. "Puzzles" will be released in the same way and, despite being a two CD edition, will be in the price of a single album. It is the only right way to convince people to purchase an original product. It often happened in the past that after releasing their double white albums famous bands faced some important changes. Will it be the case this time with Millenium and "Puzzles" Time will show but in the meantime I would like to invite you to our latest CD. Enjoy the music of Millenium.

Second vinyl of Millenium : VOCANDA LP ( gatefold sleeve , numbered , collector's limited edition )

A new studio album of Millenium called "ego" are six extended art rock
compositions depicting the band and its music in a new light without
losing the typical Millenium style. In addition to the steady line-up a
few other names appeared featuring Dariusz Rybka (saxophone), Michał
Bylica (trumpet), and Karolina Leszko (backing vocals). The album
lyrically refers to the topics related to human life in the modern
world and the longing for what has already passed. Digipak and jawel version.

Third vinyl of Millenium : EGO LP ( gatefold sleeve , numbered , collector's limited edition )

9 September -Vocanda 2013 live in studio .This is not a regular studio album of Millennium, although it could be and this is not a concert recording. This material is a recording of one of the band's rehearsals in the studio Lynx Music made for the purpose of preparing for the concert live Vocanda 2013,which took place on June 14, 2013 in Kraków to celebrate the 15th anniversary of Lynx Music. Since the registration of this recording was done professionally in the multi-track technique, and the sound quality was very good, after a raw mix I decided to publish the material officially on the CD in a special limited edition collector's edition especially for our fans.
The concert which took place in June 14, 2013, in the Rotunda club was not professionally recorded for the issue of a CD or DVD, therefore this CD may be of interest to all fans of Millennium. This album is our gift and souvenir for all the supporters of the band who were there on that day of the anniversary concert and for those who could not be on it, as much as they wanted, and for us,the musicians. For the first time we played in this line-up all the material from "Vocanda" album with guests from Ego album: Karolina Leszko -vocal and darek Rybka -saxophone.
Vocanda 2013 are fresh ideas new vocal , solos and instrumental arrangements of the old tracks from 2000. We used these sounds of instruments and arrangements during the concert on June 14th in Rotunda club. The album "Vocanda" might more or less sound like this if it appeared now, 13 years after its first edition.
Numbered, limited special anniversary collector's edition with bonus video ( live in Rotunda Club fragments)

The newest studio and also jubilee (15 years) album of Millenium brings six premiere compositions including the longest track in the band's discography - "In search of the perfect melody". This suite tells the story of a composer obsessed with the desire to write the perfect tune and ready to sign a pact with the devil to achieve this goal. The song pictures the pursuit of fame and fortune at any cost. "In search of the perfect melody" is also a tribute to great composers of classical music (Mozart, Beethoven, Bach, Brahms, Handel, Wagner) and also to legendary art rock bands and timeless compositions such as Genesis, "Supper's ready", Pink Floyd "Echoes", Yes "Close to the edge", The Alan Parsons Project "The turn of a friendly card" or Marillion "Grendel".

Apart from the above suite this album also includes: the ballad of love and betrayal "Blood on the rain", the song "Girl from a glass sphere" written with a special dedication, the instrumental "The mirror of memories", the catchy "Over & Over" and, last but not least, the final song "In the world of fantasy?", which carries the anti-war message.

There are a few guest performances on this album: Karolina Leszko - vocals, Metus - vocals, Dariusz Rybka – saxophone and Piotr Bylica – cello. Available in digipak or jawel case

Hi, Quinino. Thank you so much for updating The Aaron Clift Experiment's bio. We had another lineup change since the last time our bio was updated in August 2018. Could you please update our picture with this picture?

Also, could you please update our bio with the following text?:

The Aaron Clift Experiment is a dynamic progressive rock band based in Austin, Texas. The group's multi-faceted sound is an innovative blend of classic rock, modern rock, and classical all anchored by the band's dedication to high-quality songwriting and musicianship.

Formed in 2012 as the solo project of Aaron Clift, the band has since blossomed into a powerful live group enriched by the extensive musical background of its members. The soaring vocals of classically-trained singer and keyboardist, Aaron Clift, are grounded by the powerhouse guitar of Mathew Aboujaoude and rhythm section of Clif Warren (bass) and Chase Ozment (drums).

In the last few years, the band has carved out a significant worldwide following. Its last two albums, 2012's "Lonely Hills," and 2015's "Outer Light, Inner Darkness," were critically-acclaimed progressive rock achievements, landing on several year-end best album lists. In 2016, the band was nominated for a Limelight Award by Prog Magazine. In 2017, the band had a star-making performance at RosFest, one of the largest progressive rock festivals in the world.

The Aaron Clift Experiment continues to move its dynamic sound forward in its 2018 release, "If All Goes Wrong." The album contains the band's most diverse and electrifying music to date - songs full of enthralling melodies, masterful epics, and addictive pop hooks.

Writing my reviews and checking the info on PA I notice that many times my review intros about new bands contain more biography info than many current biographies. So looking at the fact that bios on PA need attention, this is perhaps a solution, just cut and paste …..

Scherzoo is a band founded in 2005 by the composer and multi-instrumentalist François THOLLOT.

After the early years marked by a high instability, the line-up of the band is fixed in 2011 with the arrival of NI's François MIGNOT (guitar) and Anthony BEART (bass), Jeremy Van QUACKBEKE (piano), Guillaume LAGACHE (saxophone), and with F.THOLLOT taking the drum seat. This line-up has recorded the two first albums of Scherzoo, entitled 01 (2011) and 02 (2012).

In 2013, F.Thollot is the new bassist, and hires Clement CURAUDEAU (drums, from Sulphat’Ketamine), Maxime MANTOVANI (guitar) and Renaud VERNET (sax). This new formula of the band then records the 03 album in 2014 and performs in a few festivals, including Freakshow (Wurzburg-Ger) and Soleil Zeuhl (Paris - Fra), sharing the bill with Guillaume PerretJean Louis or Wobbler.

A new instrumentation is then adopted, without guitar and sax but with a dual-keyboards formula and a whole new repertoire, which was recorded for the 04 album, released in September 2018.

As of 2018 the line-up of the band is: François THOLLOT (Bass), Gregoire PLANCHER (Electric Piano, Mellotron), Anthony PONTET(Electric Piano, Organ) and Clément CURAUDEAU (Drums).

Scherzoo's music is entirely instrumental and combines many influences from the various styles of progressive rock (Canterbury, Zeuhl, RIO, Jazz Fusion, Symphonic), but also in jazz and classical/contemporary music. All the band records have been released via Soleil Zeuhl label, and the first three of them have been mastered by Udi KOOMRAN.

Thank you in advance !

Clément

To this day no one has actually done it , so I'm stepping in now - thanks and done (with a little editing) !

Nice to meet you!!!
There's some love for your band on this site. I don't know when I'll find the time to make the changes but if not me I'm sure one of our mates will.
I stand with Roger Waters, I stand with Joan Baez, I stand with Victor Jara, I stand with Woody Guthrie. Music is revolution

Hello,

First post on PA !

I'm the drummer from the band Scherzoo and I'd like to propose a more complete biography for the band, if it's all ok.

The actual line-up of the band is therefore: François THOLLOT (Bass), Gregoire PLANCHER (Electric Piano, Mellotron), Anthony PONTET(Electric Piano, Organ) and Clément CURAUDEAU (Drums).

We also have a more recent band photo : http://scontent-cdt1-1.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/15171119_1090070731120691_936090350209012888_n.jpg?_nc_cat=0&oh=29b1b813017c5c646c88fbcf2e1975f5&oe=5C61679B

Thank you in advance !

Clément

Hi there, admins. Aaron Clift here. I would like to update some of the information for Prog Archives artist, The Aaron Clift Experiment (the current info is about 3 years out of date):

Please replace the current band photo with our new band photo.

Please replace the current bio with the following text:

The Aaron Clift Experiment is a dynamic progressive rock band based in Austin, Texas. The group’s multi-faceted sound is an innovative blend of classic rock, modern rock, and classical all anchored by the band’s dedication to high-quality songwriting and musicianship.

Formed in 2012 as the solo project of Aaron Clift, the band has since blossomed into a powerful live group enriched by the extensive musical background of its members. The soaring vocals of classically-trained singer and keyboardist, Aaron Clift, are grounded by the powerhouse guitar of Mathew Aboujaoude and rhythm section of Christopher Aboujaoude (bass) and Tim Smith (drums).

In the last few years, the band has carved out a significant worldwide following. Its last two albums, 2012’s “Lonely Hills,” and 2015’s “Outer Light, Inner Darkness,” were critically-acclaimed progressive rock achievements, landing on several year-end best album lists. In 2016, the band was nominated for a Limelight Award by Prog Magazine. In 2017, the band had a star-making performance at RosFest, one of the largest progressive rock festivals in the world.

The Aaron Clift Experiment continues to move its dynamic sound forward in its 2018 release, “If All Goes Wrong.” The album contains the band’s most diverse and electrifying music to date – songs full of enthralling melodies, masterful epics, and addictive pop hooks.

In the "Buy The Aaron Clift Experiment Music section," can you please replace the links that are currently there with the following links?

http://www.progarchives.com/artist.asp?id=4850 (Grave) - hardly any info at present.

This is courtesy of the book "Cosmic Dreams at Play: A Guide to German Progressive and Electronic Rock" (1996), with a little editing here and there.

Grave were a band of teenagers that formed in the basement of a Brinkum (near Bremen) Youth House in 1975. With a primitive tape recorder, and using only two microphones, six tracks were recorded live in the studio (summer 1975), and the one and only album by Grave was released as 'Grave I' that year in a limited edition of 100 copies.

This was plain, straight forward and simple garage rock, like the fast competent rehearsals from a typical neighborhood teenage combo. Nevertheless the album has since become a hunted collector's item, and people are prepared to pay up to 1,000 DEM for it! Three more tracks recorded in 1975 were added to a reissue in the early 90's, and the other four of the seven bonus tracks included on the 2003 Garden Of Delights CD reissue were recorded in 1989 under improved conditions.

The album itself has the track timings, but is missing the entry for Total Time, and also the year of release for the Garden Of Delights CD reissue.

The five other versions that have been released can be found here: https://www.discogs.com/Grave-Grave-1/release/1429409.

added releases and updated bio for US prog folk band Spires that in the Sunset Rise
In the process I accidentally "rated" two aklbums and I don't think there is any way to unrate them. Is somebody around here able to remove those ratings?
Thanks!
Ken
