Band - Best -- Worst
Pink Floyd - Animals -- Obscured by Clouds (laziness and boredom incarnated) Gentle Giant - Acquiring Taste -- Civilian Gypsy - In the Garden -- Unlock the Gates Crack the Sky - Animal Notes -- World in Motion 1 Captain Beyond - Captain Beyond -- Dawn Explosion Emerson, Lake and Palmer - Brain Salad Surgery -- In the Hot Seat King Crimson - In the Wake of Poseidon -- Beat Le Orme - Contrappunti -- Venerdi Magma - MDK -- Emehntehtt Re (not gonna be popular there) Pavlov's Dog - Pampered Menial -- Lost in America Premiata Forneria Marconi - Photos of Ghosts -- Miss Baker Renaissance - Renaissance -- Time-Line Styx - Crystal Ball -- either Cyclorama or Kilroy Was Here StarCastle - StarCastle -- Real to Reel Alan Parsons Project - I Robot -- Gaudi Iron Maiden - Powerslave -- X Factor (Bayley's fake vibrato) Queen - A Night At The Opera -- Jazz There are the ones I can list. Tons of my favorite bands though didn't have more than one or two releases, so kinda cheating to list them. I must be the only person here who likes A Momentary Lapse of Reason... Also if we are honest, Animals, The Wall, and the Final Cut are all Roger Waters albums... he was in complete control of those. And given the latter two don't barely feature Richard Wright (who was the heart and soul of the band, imo), I think it is fair to say they aren't the most true Floyd albums. And that being said, I like Momentary Lapse, Division Bell, and Endless River more than trash like Obscured by Clouds, where they were so lazy they didn't even bother finishing half the songs, and just faded them out instead, and the songs themselves are all forgettable trite). Just a matter of taste, and I love seeing Rock Bottom and Atom Heart Mother as best choices, but In Through the Out Door is one of my favourite Zep albums (particularly because of "Carouselambra"). I'm in the minority, but I would choose Presence as my least liked Zeppelin "studio" album.
Welcome to the site, by the way, and I hope you enjoy your time here. |

King Crimson - larks tongues in aspic - earthbound (maybe not fair because it's a bootleg quality recording but still the poor sound prevents me from taking it too seriously). Other than that maybe Beat.
