Black Sabbath, Sabbath Bloody Sabbath is the only 3 star album out of the rest of those being 5 stars.
2112, A Farewell to Kings, Permanent Waves, and Moving Pictures are all 5 star albums for me, but Hemispheres and Signals (While both still good) are weaker.

It's Rush as the cream of their collection is assigned to this poll (I'm sure the same could be said about the 'Sabbath on hand). I simply could never digest that much 'Sabbath.

I'll go Rush. Farewell to Kings is pretty crap but so is Sabbath debut

All I like is prog related bands beginning late 60's/early 70's. Their music from 1968 - 83 has the composition and sound which will never be beaten. Perfect blend of jazz, classical, folk and rock.

These are both a great selection of albums. It's real tough, but I went with Black Sabbath. IMO, they were a bit more consistent than Rush.

Sabbath for me. I don't care much for 2112 or AFtK.

That's pretty much exactly how I feel too. It's like this though. There would be no metal without Sabbath and no prog metal without Rush.

Sabbath by a good bit.
Better get more tar-n-feathers as I prefer Rush's first album over some of those others...

To be honest I don't play that much Sabbath or Rush these days...but in the end I'd rather listen to Rush over an extended period of time than Sabbath who would eventually give me a headache.

Love 'em both to death, but ultimately I find Rush vastly more interesting to listen to.

There's not everything about a technical superiority nor quality of music. In some other fields Sabbath outclass Rush.

Rush!
Sabbath has some musical moments, but Rush is far more consistently musical and interesting, with new ideas. btw I love Farewell to Kings! It is my favourite Rush album (by a hair - over Moving Pictures which is second for me).
