Funny how some 'Anonymous' active members just some minutes ago were still so kept on accessing the thread 'Is There Such Thing As A Harmless Religion' as an exclusive reading...  just HILARIOUS !

I'm OUT too.

Steve,

this 'self hallowed' brain trust institution you're invoking is and represent the general consensus of the collabs/admins in the collab zone (though we never reach unanimity - at least in your case), named after having done worthy work for the database, reviews section and forum peace-keeping

these
'self hallowed' brain trustees (called Admins) have the general trust of a much-absent owner and do not have an easy job (to say the least), but they've carried this site and its forum for now almost 11 years on a not-always perfectly paved road

I did post early on in that now-closed thread, but I must say that I lacked time to keep pursuing it (I have a real life outside the web), since it is the umpteenth thread about religions, ever since the twin threads "music for (A)theist". So this type of subject has run its course for the time being (IMHO, anyway).

You apparently have problems regarding a very close one to you (to which, believe it or not, we all sympathize) and it may be touh to live through, but I suggest that you vent you frustrations on a different planet than this one. We're here for the music, not the other side-subjects

You've proved your prog knowledge enough, but let yourself not become a liability rather than the asset you could've once become

And if you're tired of us "cowards", let no-one here hold you back. rest assure you won't be missed by many here.

You can slam the outdoor as hatrd as you want.

BTW:
Don't let that slammed door slap your dorsal spine as you exit... Hurry up!!

...... and not just IMHO, BTW

I just wanted to make one note before I close this thread to discussion. I admit as an admin I haven't been terribly active the past few weeks because I've been incredibly busy in my real life and seeing as this is not a paid position I cannot dedicate endless hours to moderating, but I do try to poke my head in as often as possible and I probably should have said something here earlier.

Just one note Steve - ProgArchives is a privately owned and operated website and does not need to follow any public policy in regard to freedom of speech or whatnot. The admins and owners have the full right to hide and censor what we wish. If something violates the policies and expectations we've put forth on the forum, we should and will hide the thread.

That being said, as admins, I'd like to believe we've kept a fairly open mind in terms of what we allow and don't allow on the forum. There are definitely forums that have more stringent moderation and there are definitely forums that have more lax moderation and PA generally is very middle of the road.

If you disagree with how the admins handle business, feel free to leave. This is not a authoritarian country; you are not being forced to stay here. You've caused a fair amount of trouble here, and quite frankly a more stringent administrator would probably have banned you for trolling but I for one am fine with having some members disagree with how the site is run. I'd love to take constructive criticism but honestly all you've offered is pointless dissent. If you don't like the admins, feel free to leave. No one is stopping you. How we acted in the religion thread is perfectly reasonable and had the backing of the majority of the collaborators of the site.

And please stop making duplicate accounts. We will continue to remove them as that is against our policies.
