Yep, me exactly. Rock Bottom is legendary and I prefer it over Piper but Barrett was the legend of all legends for me. There's very few that pass him.

Surely that doesn't surprise you but sadly , no, they are not kidding you at all.

Simply because of the formidable size of his output and the incredible quality of his work Eno stands out like a bright shining beacon but I'd even put Harper and Wyatt ahead of Hammill .... damn it all probably even Wakeman.

My vote goes for that Hammill Guy. Brian Eno would be a very close second. They're all brilliant dudes though

Wakeman because he looks like me (I have been mistaken for both him and Chris Squire in the past) and he's a grumpy old sod like me.

Pity he's so f*****g right wing, though (not like me!).

I also like Eno a lot.

Fripp is a winner. He can go win in another poll with Gabriel, Waters and the two Andersons.

Several good choices but I'll go with Rick Wakeman as the sentimental favorite.

All of the above.
In that case I vote for Mr Wakeman for being a grumpy old man, for his column in Prog and for his being mistaken for Richard Clayderman story.

Went to a San Francisco modern art exhibit that was accompanied by Eno's ambient music, and it absolutely bored the s' out of me. Just awful.
