Three of my top favorite albums. I like The Yes Album just a tiny bit more.

Foxtrot is on a whole other level than the other two I my opinion. The Yes Album is great, but rarely has the moments that really move me.
Then ElP/BSS is just bad so.

Foxtrot is way out of the galaxy compared to the others.

In this case - that album, by a country mile.

I set all three CDs on a table for a three-way mud wrestling death match. So far, nothing has happened. Perhaps I would get better results with vinyl.

Did you offer a prize? CDs can be lazy if there is no incentive.

I forgot to wipe up all the bread crumbs and coffee grounds. You'd think that's sufficient.

Mine won't put out for anything less than a drive in the car while being played at full volume. Obviously time to up the ante.

Voted Yes to even things up...... .....but for me Foxtrot and Yes are about equal. That ELP album just never rang my bell though it does have some very nice moments on it.

1. Foxtrot 2. Brain Salad Surgery 3. The Yes Album
Can anyone explain why the line, "I've seen all good people turn their heads each day so satisfied I'm on my way," is repeated over and over and over again. I don't understand that, and it just kills it for me.

I'm not a musician so perhaps I should not be weighing in on this question but for me that line is being treated as a musical theme - not so much for its meaning but in the same way you would repeat a series of notes throughout a song. The way the music played between that repeated line is more improvised makes me think that the lyrics were treated as an anchor for the song, in the same way that a guitar line would anchor a song and the other instruments riff off that. But what do I know, I'm just a paralegal.
