You are certainly not wrong, Terri. The "b*tches" comment was idiotic and not at all humorous (although I'm not even sure if that is what the poster was attempting). You don't need to "lighten up" either.

Agreed, neither racism or sexism is funny in any way.

Surely it's not "progressive" in a general sense
I stand with Roger Waters, I stand with Joan Baez, I stand with Victor Jara, I stand with Woody Guthrie. Music is revolution

OK, I want to give my sincerest apologies for the comment I made. I obviously was not thinking when I wrote that. You are most definitely right, along with Elf and Pastmaster. Sorry for that. Unhappy

^ the support is all very welcome. Unlike the original comment poster, I figured sublime just spoke off the cuff so no worries there.

Yes, another woman!  We do like prog!  We do enjoy Yes, Caravan and Genesis on romantic evenings!  (Jethro Tull, not so much).

I'm working on Snow Goose but not much success getting into it so far.

If she listens to prog it's not a date...it's a life long engagement Heart Tongue
True Story: The girl I liked (she became my gf) loved and loves prog, she was my best friend though, I was talking about dates in general. Most people don't like prog (or don't even know what it is)
Two random guys agreed to shake hands. Just Because. They felt like it, you know. It was an agreement of sorts...a random agreement.

Well, it would be an effective test case...but agreed it might be a bit much for a first date. Maybe after a few weeks.  Once you've gotten to know each other.

On a different note, The Dark Elf,
You don't like my Beatles tracks nor do you like my happy fav pop track Dexy's Midnight Runners. However, I do not give up easily, this bounce, bounce, bounce, happy bounce, ta tatitititititum ... track is for you WinkHug

Kind of funny to see the  the question connected to prog songs from the dark ages... if you're on a date now, isn't there a large chance the lady in question is more familiar with more modern (prog) music. Of course, I'm assuming things concerning age and interests here, but I'd sooner play a song by The Tangent, Ayreon, Pain of Salvation or even more recent on a date (maybe even Oceans 5 or Corvus Stone )

Or something Italian, like Unreal City - for some reason Italian vocals seem to work in some cases, Tongue.

If the dear lady liked Zappa, that very fact would intrigue me for sure. As far as music most likely to produce a happy ending I offer Spectral Mornings (the song) looping over and over again.

Ummm....Angelo...most of us are from the Dark Ages, and the women we are with also write with runes.
...a vigorous circular motion hitherto unknown to the people of this area, but destined
to take the place of the mud shark in your mythology...
