The band that did My Bonnie and Going to Kansas City in Hamburg and the band that did Sun King and Because on Abbey Road certainly aren't the same. Maybe that dentist who turned the boys on wasn't really a dentist at all.....perhaps he was a gov't agent with designs on dousing a growing anti-gov't sentiment among the "kids" in the UK and the US. Much like Jerry Garcia being accused of being a g-man who quelled revolution by taking doses from city to city, maybe the whole Beatles mystique built up by the band in the early days - that bond of trust built up between the band and the kids - was used by the gov't to spread soft drug use to distract the zealous anti-war protests....after all, a stoned-out revolutionary is much less likely to bomb Parliament than one hepped up on ideology.

Yeah, that's the ticket. The "eggman" and the "walrus" that took the place of the "cute one" and the "funny one" were actually psych students from Cambridge with designs on mesmerizing punters leading them away from protests and into the swingin' nightclubs and drug dens. And the Iron Butterfly and Cactus were trained assassins - that second-tier of protection if those immune to the music continued their plots to wreak havok in the UK. Don't even get me started on Krautrock. Let's just say that Himmler and Hess had agents take out the American subversive Malcom Mooney and had him replaced with Damo, whose parents were secret agents in cahoots with the Nazis during WWII.
