STRICTLY FOR OVER 18'S ONLY!!!

Every time I look at the famous album cover it seems more and more obvious.

A Trick of the eye that's all?

Are Genesis secret perverts with most of their songs having subliminal sexual meanings?

You're right, by God.

The band asked a really nice artist to draw special pictures which were a visual representation of the songs contained within the album.

Cheeky blighters, eh?

Of course, it could be that I have no idea what it is you are alluding toConfused

EDIT. I note you added another line. I still don't know what you mean, though.

TBH I think the title track is a song about endless virginity... ...and a cheeky nod towards the trick album title!

If you look really closely at the inside of the gatefold cover, you discover that Peter Gabriel is no longer in the band.

The 'T' at the start of Trick looks like an 'F'. The 'T' at the start of Tail looks more like a 'T'.

It incontrovertibly reads 'A Fuᴄk of the Tail' and the lyrics in the title track confirms it.

What I want to know is why? Genesis wanted a taste of the OZ mystery and came up with their own little sync?

Thinking about it 'Mad Man Moon' is also about Virginity or not having sex. - "Was it summer when the river ran dry,
Or was it just another dam.
When the evil of a snowflake in June
Could still be a source of relief."

Obvious reference to masturbation.

There must be some theme to the album about fulfillment etc.

i don't see the reference to masturbation

but maybe im just not trying as hard as you to see it

i mean if relief means masturbation every time it's used

or not

The first T could be a P and the second T could be a F.....If I look hard at it and add some lines.....but alas I still don't see it.

"And broke down the door of the cage and marched on out.
He grabbed a creature by the scruff of his neck, pointing out:
There, beyond the bounds of your weak imagination"

Obvious reference to masturbation. I bet there are many more in the album.
