Iommi. He isn't a virtuoso I just prefer Black Sabbath. Even as a prog fan.

In a prog site it's an easy win for Fripp, but not so obvious for me.
I'm gonna bail out and vote both!

Iommi. Or at least I assume Iommy means Iommi. Anyway, the guy missing the tips of his fingers that played for Black Sabbath.

Both great guitarists/composers on their own right. Fantastic musicians and innovators, with very different styles of music, but highly influential for the generations to come, so don't ask me to choose between them.

Fripp, but then I prefer King Crimson to Sabbath. Totally different styles. Difficult to compare really.

Everything King Crimson related > Everything Black Sabbath related.

Both, for entirely different reasons though. One for brute hellish feel and thunderous sound - the other for the imagination.

Btw I moved this to the right forum.

Both are my favourites and a matter of heart. Both are pioneers of their genres. Tony is the King of Riffs, Bobby is the King of Prog. I can't decide.

Totally, really? Some Robert's riffs approximmates by its force and massiveness to Tony's ones. For example: Red, Larks' Tongues - all parts, Level Five, ProzaKc Blues etc.

Too easy......Iommi. The only place where I resonate with Fripp is on Red. For me all other albums everyone else is head and shoulders over Fripp, great creativity.

Iommi is wayyyyyy more influencial and better.
