I don't have a huge problem letting people have an opinion about anything here. I mean take a look Gandalff post earlier in this thread. Is that respectful I think not

And Gandalff is your benchmark? If so, why do you ask Andrey to stop hounding you? It is his choice to question your statements and logic, it's a free for all. You see where this gets to, don't you?

^^^ What are you trying to prove by hounding me every damn thread, just stop it already, this is between me and Ian. I know I know that you have thought about this and put it into your stubborn heads. This only proves my point that music is objective that it's all left to individual preference, Ian however is twisting things around yet again. Have you heard the saying that "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder" well the same goes for music.
| 1) You've just stated that music is objective. Fix it unless you want to be laughed at.
2) If you are complaining about me "hounding" at you or whatever, then you are gonna have to stop trying to convince us that quality lies in quantity. Quit it unless you want to be laughed at even more and louder. |
Music is completely subjective. How can I fixed that, I can't

Ian, I was talking about the entire discography not certain albums. Take a look and I think you would be surprised and I have yet to find any ratings on Gnosis(I probably haven't checked right but I haven't found any). I love how you clearly thought this out and took the time to make it
|
I made a bet with myself as to whether your next post would talk about entire discography, needless to say you didn't disappoint me. You clearly have no idea how many poor albums Genesis & Rush have released. So based on entire discography the average PA rating of each band is:- King Crimson - 3.83 Rush - 3.65 Genesis - 3.51 Guess what? I wasn't surprised!!

I'm actually fine with this, I have a degree in statistics and analyze data for a living. I must have spent a total of about 20 minutes pulling this stuff together. It makes a change from the dry stuff I'm usually crunching. I pulled myself away from a 30,000 line 120 column database I've been manipulating for management strategy for the last month.

| you are gonna have to stop trying to convince us that quality lies in quantity. I checked and you're right and I'm wrong I love that you kept this up but again let me go back to what Andrey said. He said that I apparently said that quality of the music is based on quantity and you are only adding more fuel to the fire. Think about it? All I'm trying to say(even though it doesn't really look like it but I could say the same for you) here is that it's good that you think those albums that you listed are better and again it goes back to my original statement about: PREFERENCE

The bottom line is it's all a matter of opinion, people like what they like and people have no right to argue that based on taste. I like KC, Yes, Rush & Genesis a lot. You just hit a nerve (again) for the continual statement of your likes and dislikes as a statement of fact and roll around on the floor when anyone calls you on it, it shows a lack of respect for others. Just try being a little more understanding of others please.

Thank you and yes I'll admit to that: Guilty as charged this is just like politics and/or politicians fighting or debating . I guess I haven't been as understanding and I'll try

I am currently digging:
Hawkwind, Rare Bird, Gong, Tangerine Dream, Khan, Iron Butterfly, and all things canterbury and hard-psych. I also love jazz!
Please drop me a message with album suggestions.
