OK. It's 10:00pm in Scotland and it's cold with heavy rain. Who could have guessed?

Rough weather in Northwest Georgia. Was looking like we were going to get some serious stuff, but now it looks like we'll be OK.

Rainy clous over Paris.
As usual. Sigh. But the climate is getting warmer. |

The most beautiful weather map I have ever seen. Unfortunately it corresponds to the greatest disaster the Netherlands have seen in the last centuries: the North Sea flood of 1953. This was 60 years ago now. Today we have quite a lot of wind and high tide, but not as bad as it was then. |

^Yeah, it’s beautiful and disastrous.
It’s raining here right now, though the meteorologists deny it. They have promised a clear blue sky tomorrow, but they’ve been very wrong both ways lately. |

This morning we had a swift alternating between clear blue skies, icy rain and snow. The 14 km (9 miles) bike ride from home to work proved to be a rodeo on some slippery spots. At this moment it's 4°C (40°F).

Bizarre weather here - woke up to light snow settling on the grass but not on hard surfaces; drove into town, after a mile there was no snow on the ground, a mile later the snow had turned to rain. Nothing unusual about that, except an hour later on the return journey two miles from home the rain turned back to snow again - the weird bit is now only my lawn has snow on it. |

Paris is turning into a grim frostbitten dimmu borgir in the northern sky - or something like that.
There's a meteorlogical alert about frost for this night. Weepee! |

We have had some fine weather for a few days (dry, sunny, maximum temperature just above 0°C), but now it is snowing again. Temperature -1°C. Code orange has been given for glaze ice.
