What's the weather like in your thread Ian?
Here it's pleasantly warm and dry, then I'm indoors, the central heating hasn't kicked in yet and I've not been tempted to manually override the timer. Outside it's what I like to call ambivolent, though it does seem ot be warmer than normal and the sky is a uniform grey colour (My Chumby One tells me it's 10°C and mostly cloudy so it looks like we're sharing Robert's Dutchland weather)

We've had snow here in St.Louis for like a week. It's under an inch, but it sticks. It's been in the 25-35°F range (-3 to 2°C). Also mild humidity and fair winds.

Sunny. There's not a cloud in the light blue sky, like what the ocean would look like if you bleached it. There's enough snow on the ground for it to be annoying, and not enough for it to be fun. By everyone else's standards, it's cold. By mine, it's a bit brisk and it's a good day for football or backpacking.

The grey, overcast sky reminds me of a burial shroud, the wind of the cold blast of death. I smell barbeque in the air. I have died and gone to Kansas City.
There's less snow on the ground than there was yesterday, but more than there was before it snowed.

About 68 degrees F. No humidity, no precipitation. Not very bright, but the sky is fairly illuminated...oh wait, that's what it feels like in my house.
Oops.
It's dark outside. I assume it's cold (this seems like a reasonable inference because it is winter). I can't be bothered to go outside in the cold and dark wearng my pajamas right now. I couldn't see much, anyway, because it's night, and at night it gets dark.

6°C Bright and clear - the sun's thinking about setting and it's all very clam and tranquil, I rather like it. Actually it's amazingly quiet - can't hear any traffic, trains or light aircraft, my neighbours have stopped banging and sawing whatever it was they were banging and sawing all morning, and the guy next door hasn't chosen to practice his drumming this afternoon. This is why I moved into the sticks in the first place. Peace.

The sun is yellow, the sky is blue, the clouds are white, the grass is, um...brown. It's a lovely 60 degree day in the midwest, smack dab in the middle of January. There's a cool breeze that lends a bit of chillyness to the otherwise warm day, perhaps necessitating the donning of long-sleeved attire. A good day for a long game of football.

We have snow too - been falling steadily for the past six hours with no sign of abating, looks to be about 4cm deep at the moment and it's currently -3°C outside, and inside it doesn't feel much warmer. We had "severe weather advisory" here last night, warning that the roads might have ice early this morning. Not a huge deal for most places, but we're not used to snow and ice here, so the whole city goes into a bit of a panic. As it happened, this morning was fine and I made it to work on time. Temperature is still right around the freezing point though. Strange because less than a week ago it was about 21 degrees Celsius here. (I converted to Celsius in deference to the fact that virtually every other country but ours uses that system).

Time for an update: Last week we had some fine spring weather with lots of sun in the first half of the week and temperatures running up to almost 17°C on Wednesday.
Now the winter has returned with temperatures just above 0°C. Yesterday a record has been broken: for the first time in the history of weather recording (since 1901) it has rained constantly during all 24 hours within a day (requirement: at least 0.1 mm precipitation within 10 minutes). This record has been measured on the main weather station in the Netherlands (not too far from my home).
