^ Also their "Uriah Heep Live" January 1973 album is great. Here is the opening track, Sunrise.

Also Todd Rundgren's - Utopia (not the Utopia band, the album). I think I did see it on somebody's list in the opening page of this thread. A little under rated or appreciated prog album, I think because of Todd's fame with the sweet ballads and love songs tends to cause people to pause when looking for prog.

Wow, thank you for being a fresh canvas to paint on! You should get all Yes recordings from Yes Album to Going for the One. All Genesis from Trespass to Lamb Lies Down on Broadway. All Kansas from Self-titled to Leftoverture. All ELP from Self-titled to Brain Salad Surgery. All Jethro Tull from Aqualung to Songs from the Wood. All Camel from 1975-1978. All UK from 1977-1979. Sorry I do not too much about Gentle Giant, but I think you should get their first 2-3 recordings. That's all that comes to mind right now. Thanks for the "painting" session...

You can't really go wrong with any of their first seven albums. But for a newcomer I would recommend Free Hand, which is fairly accessible while being representative of the type of music they make.
