lol what is the part about Rush even supposed to prove? Yes, I would agree that Rush influenced prog metal quite a bit. How does that have anything to do at all with the discussion at hand? Also the improvised section of Moonchild is only one small part of the overall album, and you did deny their importance when you said "what's so important about minimalistic John Cage wannabe drivel??"
Also the fact that you say you dislike In The Court but just said In The Wake Of Poseidon is one of the few Crimson albums you like truly makes no sense... Do you not see any similarities between those two albums at all? Edited by Sumdeus - January 06 2013 at 21:18 |

that's all Moonchild is it's only minimalistic drivel baffles my mind that that album is regarded so highly, and Epitaph and the Title Track sound the same, I could really start to go off again but I wont. I like King Crimson a little, for Larks Tongues and In The Wake only |

really? this again? and then when we start pointing out the problem with your behavior you're gonna be like "LOL just my opinion guys! stop getting mad just cause i don't like king crimson!".
Whether you like King Crimson's music is not important. If you seriously deny they have any importance in relation to prog rock as a whole you are truly a fool or a troll, if not both. Edited by Sumdeus - January 06 2013 at 21:00 |

In the Court of the Crimson King (the original Crimso), then Genesis until Hackett left, then any version of Crimso. Genesis doesn't count after Hackett left...

Not too tough for me. Genesis (pop albums considered and enjoyed). If we had this poll in `1970 and the choices were In The Court Of The Crimson King vs From Genesis To Revelations/Tresspass I would say King Crimson, but the Gabriel/Hackett days were phenominal, more than most prog bands could stand up to. I daresay my favorite band of all time Rush didn't produce the richness of prog in their hay day between Fly By Night and Motion Pictures(particularly the b-side of MP). |

i figure a warning from a mod would do the trick, i mean the more we accept this behavior and just go "oh you, what do we do about you?" the more he'll think it's ok and continue to be condescending to other users
