I just remembered a duo called Blood on the Dance Floor. Check em out on Youtube if you have the stomach for it. I don't.
A friend of mine was really into them a couple of years ago. She showed me a few songs, and yeah, it's just pitiful - Terrible stuff. How could someone actually take bands like that seriously?

Because they are either literally mentally untstable, retarded, or they just hate music.
Actually Coldplay used to be quite good. Their newest album is terrible, yes, but Parachutes and X and Y were really great Alternative/ Brit Pop albums. I definitely respect them.

Yes.
They were inculcated with that ideology, and expected to do that stuff for the white nationalists by relatives, but apparently as they got older (watched a documentary on them) they didn't like what they had done/ been asked to do. They did publicly renounce their "previous politics". I don't hold it against the girls themselves.

Depends on what criteria is used for "disgrace." If the criteria is "waste of talent," then the greatest disgrace in rock history (I won't even try music history) is Rod Stewart.
OMG. I only heard that song for the first time a couple of weeks ago, and now it runs through my head quite often. My daughter seems to have been reeled in by it too - I wouldn't be surprised if it were laced with subliminal messages designed to hypnotize children. But the biggest disgrace? Probably William Hung. I'm sure he's a nice guy, but c'mon.
The whole POINT of William Hung was that he was a bad singer. That's WHY people like him. He's more like a musical comedian. So, no, I don't think he's a disgrace. The ones who are a disgrace are the ones who are actually celebrated as something good. This is my favorite candidate:

This may all be true (I doubt it) but to me they are just MOR rock/pop not fish nor fowl not one nor t'other. Hence, the enemy. Why would I be interested in something that for me is just a band producing commercial rock with the very slightest hint of altenative about them. I prefer pure pop or radically alternative music but not this stadium rock because stadium rock is wnere the money is.

Off topic, but has anyone heard the (free download, btw) Distorted Harmony album? Does the singer remind you of Chris Martin sometimes?

Good point. I rescind my prior nomination.
Besides, Blood on the Dance Floor is much worse anyway,.

Also, speaking of Coldplay, I also liked them up to a certain point when some incidents occurred and after that I couldn't hear them without getting a bad taste in my mouth.
